DS is 8.5 months and starting to cruise and walk with assistance. I'd like to get him some shoes for when we're outside or in public, but this seems really early. At what age or standing/walking level was your LO when you bought shoes?

At 11 months. She was cruising beforehand but daycare mentioned that if we brought in shoes they'll help her practice walking with shoes. So that's when we invested in a pair of pre walkers by See Kai Run.

LO was late in the game for walking, but we waited until she was cruising and walking with our help. For us that was after she turned one. But like I said..... she was a very late walker.

he started walking at 10 months and I got him a pair of nice walking shoes(pedipeds) at 11 months.

Not until he was actually walking- 12 1/2 months. It just seemed like a waste until he was really mobile. In hindsight I might have gotten some soft sole ones a little earlier. He sort of freaked out having shoes on for the first few days since he had never had anything but socks on his feet.
