Lol at the first option.

Exactly 6 weeks pp. It was painful after having my first but not after having my second.

Can't answer yet since I am still pregnant, but I've heard some people get all overwhelmed with hormones and emotions and try to DTD while they are STILL IN THE HOSPITAL FROM GIVING BIRTH. And the nurses have to like patrol and make sure people aren't doing that. Yikes.

it was 12 weeks I think... wait may have been longer... shoot don't remember!!! so I said 12 weeks haha.

There were many reasons why we waited longer. It did hurt the first couple times and honestly I hated every second but it's gotten a lot better and now at 8 months pp it doesn't feel any different than before.

bahaha to just get it overwith lol. I remember once DH hurt me and I cried and he couldn't do it again for awhile... he said it's an instant mood-killer if I get upset/hurt.

I know someone who got the episiotomy from hell and didn't have sex for six months pp... D:

I'm 8 weeks out and we tried @ 7 weeks, hurt like hell and I bled. Didn't DTD prob at least the last month I was preg bc I was soooo big. Feel bad...but not that bad!!

^^^this was me my whole 9th month of pregnancy. And it is probably my future.

We haven't obviously (DS is 2w old and I have 20+ stitches). But, damn...I WANT TO. It's so weird....I didn't think I would ever want to again...but apparently my libido is still alive, despite the leaky breasts and the sleep deprivation.
I have no idea when our sex life will return...:( Not overly concerned seeing as I don't love my body anyways so maybe by the time I get back into shape, I will be cleared

@FutureMrsMcK: hahah just the tip...DH used to joke to play that. he also used to (totally weirded me out) joke around to ask if I wanted to play "hide the porpoise"..ew!!

I've started having some thoughts of wanting to, but not WANTING TO - if that makes sense. I'm only about 5 weeks pp and terrified. I'm just now not having pain..I had a pretty serious tear.

@MungBean: hahaha. he thought he was pretty funny. I tried to tell him that it did the opposite and weirded me out, putting me OUT of the mood!!

@TurtleDoves: That was my experience too, my post partum libido was and still is awesome, even still breastfeeding. I got lucky. And I would not say that it ever hurt, terribly. It was uncomfortable in those first 6 weeks, so we didn't really do it. But never any serious pain. I'd say it felt like a yeast infection, if you've experienced that. Just sore.

@TurtleDoves: 2 months? It was ok for a while and then got awesome. Better than before. My post partum vagina is way cooler than before.

We did it last week and LO is 3 1/2 months old... so 15 weeks? Something like that? It felt different.

yeah we didn't until almost 14 weeks PP. and even now, 5 months PP, it still isn't enjoyable!! it kind of kills.

Unfortunately, with twins, I was soooooo tired, I was not in the mood for awhile. It wasn't until like less than 4 months!
