I left LO with my parents for 3.5 days when she was almost 3 months old.

I haven't left the baby yet!

we haven't left her overnight yet she is 17 months

I work some overnights so I'm used to being away from M, but she's here with DH.

The first time we were both away from her was last month. She was 11.5 months old and we left her with my parents and my sister while we went away for the weekend for our anniversary. It went great! No problems at all. She sees them a few times a month so she's comfortable with them. I also left a long list of instructions

I'm sure he'll have fun with his grandparents. Happy Anniversary!

20 months or so, when we had to pack for our move. My inlaws came to get him and he slept at their house, which we have done before, so he was used to it.

still haven't done it at 20 months. I would consider it if my mom was watching her, but living far from family the opportunity hasn't come up.

We will for the 1st time next month. My parents are going to watch her at their house, so we can celebrate our anniversary. She will be almost 8 months. Then two weekends later, she will be with DH all weekend and I am going away with girlfriends.

So not ready.

10 months old. My mum took N home from BIL/SIL's wedding. We stayed to help clean and such. My mum kept him so we could sleep in the next day. It was weird to get up and him not be there with us. DH and I looked at each other like ok I guess we just get ready to go I guess.....

16 months. We went to Paris for 2 nights and he stayed with my MIL.

He's 12 months and we haven't left him yet. The first time will be next month when LO #2 is born. He'll be sleeping at home though and we're planning on DH sleeping at home with him. I think he'll be fine. I'm the one having the bigger issue with it'

DH has been away many times with work and school. I've been away 2 times with him there for weddings (i'm a photographer and i had two back to back out of town weddings), once at 5.5 months and another at 8 months. we've been away together once at 8.5 months for another out of town wedding we were both shooting.

12 weeks. We left her with my parents overnight and went to a nice resort/hotel for our anniversary! I'm a very laid back person in general, and I trust my parents.

I think she was about 9 months. I was ready. We have a 4 night overnight coming up for DH's birthday and I CANNOT WAIT!

9 weeks, overnight (well 12 hours). We've done it a couple times in a year, we leave her for the first time tomorrow for more than 24 hours...it's hitting me hard. I can do a night, that was never hard for me, but muliple day/night is really difficult!

@TurtleDoves: you don't need a passport to cross if you're unde 16 on the US/Canada Border! We cross with DD all the time with just her birth certificat

We left her around 14 months or so with my parents for 2 nights. I was ready by then and she was STTN and almost done nursing (she was down to like 1x day).

@Koolbreeze: Hah! I am showing this to my husband. Our oldest was 5 her first time (and I was in labor with Lorelei) but she wanted to (it was with his parents) and she had a great time. She has done it on occasion since. I don't plan to have Lorelei do an overnight until she is old enough to ask for one and wants to. My husband thinks I'm a little nuts.

She was 17 months. It ws one night. A month ago it was 2 nights in a row, BIG for me!LOL!

At almost 21 months when DS was born!

22 months for 3 days and 2 nights. She was super attached to me before we left so I was so nervous, but my mom stayed with her at our place which made it easier for her. Also, my husband travels for work so she understands that he goes away for work and comes back. So I told her I had to go to work with Dada and I would be back in a few days.

She did awesome and way better than I expected. I thought for sure she would be more clingy and attached when I got back but she's more independent...it's like she realized the world doesn't end when I'm not around. It was so good for her and I'm glad we did it...I missed her like crazy by the third day, but I was soooo relaxed that first and second day away from her

I left LO with my in-law's for the first time right before he turned 2. We dropped him off on Friday afternoon and came back on Sunday morning. He regressed a lot, and it was so sad to come back to a different kid. It took about a week for him to return back to normal.

Since then he stayed with my sisters for a week while DH and I went on our babymoon. LO was 26 months old and did really well. FIL takes him overnight once a week when possible, and it has helped LO gain trust in staying with others.

We just did in August at 16 months. Then I left him for 2 nights (once with MIL, once with husband) for a music festival in September. It was hard the first time, but the second wasnt too bad. You'll do fine!
