I didn't!
When I was about 18 months old I was a test subject (one of many) for a new chicken pox vaccine. Afterwards I was purposely exposed to it...through my older brothers, cousins and several classmates, and the worst I ever got was a very mild heat rash that was gone within 12 hours!
ETA: When I got my first round of prenatal blood work done they told me I still had the antibodies (I think?) in my blood, which was good because they got super worried when I told them I'd never had it.

Too young to remember, when my brother who was 3 years older than me got it.

Never! I'm also allergic to the varicella vaccine and I have no antibodies for it.

It was right before Kindergarten. Both my sister and I had it at the same time. I don't really remember it, but I do have a scar still!

I was 7. My mom purposely took us to our neighbors' house where they had an outbreak.

Never did! I was vaccinated when I was younger, and never got it. DH said he had it when he was 2 or 3.

I never got it. My mother and brother never did either. I got the vaccine I think around the end of college just to make sure I didn't get it later on but I suspect we wouldn't have.

My mom isn't sure if I got it or not. I was exposed, and got literally maybe one or two bumps. I was later exposed with no results, so she figures I must have just had the world's mildest case of it. ^_^

I was excposed multiple times throughout my childhood and never got it!! It was bizarre. As a teen I got the vaccine and still haven't gotten it.

@JerricaBenton: same... my mom only had me get the vaccine cause she was scared of my getting it as an adult/while pregnant... but given how often I was exposed, I wonder if I just had built an immunity to it??

@Mrs. Pen: I do wonder if some people just have a natural immunity. It sure seems like it since my mom, me and my bro never had it. I totally wanted the vaccine just in case!

@autumnlove: Me too and I still have a scar on my nose and one on the top of my forehead!

@Reese: twice?!! Oh you poor thing I'm so afraid of getting it as an adult!
@JerricaBenton: most of my family got it. Me and my little brother were the only ones that didn't, and there are 6 kids!

@Mrs. Pen: I know. Awful. I have maybe had a headache twice in my life and the first time was when I was 14/15 and got chicken pox for the SECOND time *shake fist* It was the WORST (maybe a migraine?)

Kindergarten. And it was Halloween too! I remember being covered in cornstarch watching Green Acres with my grandma while my sister trick or treated with my parents. It was sad!

I was in first grade - I remember being really itchy and having to soak in the bathtub for a really long time.

Never. I got tested for antibodies and was negative, so they have me the vaccine to prevent a patient from giving vzv to me.

3rd grade....the night before my school play. I was a lamb who told the wise men where they could find baby Jesus. Needless to say I was heartbroken lol

I think it was 2nd or 3rd grade. All I remember was that it was summertime and being upset that my mom made me wear a huge tshirt in the pool after I wasn't contagious anymore. My young self didn't worry about scars, I just wanted to swim. Grateful, my mom was concerned though since now I don't have any scars.
