I've been thinking about this stuff lately, as I'd love to teach Charlie and Olive the value of money.

My money system is pretty basic, since I basically never spend money on anything except for food and books (and a computer + phone + tablet). I went through a phase where I experimented with upgrading my lifestyle, but I decided it wasn't for me. I just don't need that much in life, I guess.

I probably picked up my thrifty ways because I helped out with finances growing up, and then had to pay for college. Being broke is a great teacher/motivator!
