How old were they? Who did you leave them with? How did it go?
DH's birthday is coming up and I've been thinking about planning a surprise over night get away and leaving DD with my dad. She will be 13 months then. And I'm kind of being a mama bear about it

DD was 18m, my parents came and stayed at our house with her; she had a blast (didn't even ask about us :().
DS was 8weeks and again my parents came and stayed at our house. He did really well for them and slept better than usual but that was possibly because he was getting formula since I didn't have enough pumped milk to cover the time we were away (came back with a whole bunch though).

I just left DS for the first time last weekend, he's 5 months and he was at home with his daddy while I was on a work trip.
While it was really hard and I missed him terribly, I didn't have a complete meltdown like I thought I would! Many, many moments trying to hold back tears, but it worked out great and the huuuuuge smiles I got the next time I saw him made up for it a little bit

About that age. I left him with my IL's and we stayed in town, but enjoyed a night/morning to ourselves. He did great! He is super flexible and easy going in general though and spends a lot of time with his grandparents! You should do it

6 months. DH went on a 4 day vacation to Jamaica.
We haven't left #2 overnight yet.

Almost 8 months. My parents watched her over night at their house. We went out to dinner for our anniversary and slept in.

DS was just about 6 months. We went to a friend's wedding overnight and left him with my parents. He was pretty good and was super excited to see us when we got home which was nice! I did call pretty often though until he was sound asleep.

14 months, over our anniversary weekend. We were going to be staying close to my SIL's house, so he stayed there, and my MIL stayed there as well.

E will be 1 year and 1 week when we leave her overnight with MIL! I'm taking Dh to a concert for his bday and it will be a late night. I can't wait!

About a week after his first birthday we are supposed to go out of town for 5 days!!! *gulp*
