except for a 13-month stint in korea, and a 3-month stint in nj, i pretty much lived at home until i married my hubby. lol.

I also moved out when I went to college and paid for it all myself with either money saved from my high school job or a student loan, so I count that as when I moved out. I did go home for the holidays and summer. After college I started working upstate and only went to my parents to visit during holidays.

I went to college from 18-21 (graduated a year early), but my college was only 30 minutes from my hometown. I went home a lot since I was so close, so I don't really count that as "moving out."

The summer after I graduated college, I moved into an apartment with a friend in the same college town and began working full time. I guess that's when I technically moved out. I lived there for a year and then DH and I got married and we moved to our current town.

I moved out when I was 17 for university (shared an apartment with 2 other girls). Got a place all to myself when I was 26 (and LOVED it).

My parents live in Washington State, and I moved out to go to university in Los Angeles when I was 17.
I have not lived with them since then!

I moved 8 hours away right after I graduated high school at 18, and have been paying for myself since then

I kind of hope my LOs will be the same, but I'm pretty skeptical that it would happen, because DH does not have the same expectations in that area.

I would say I was 21 when I started paying completely for my own year round place w/o family assistance.

Not sure how I feel yet about when I want our future kids to move out!

I moved out when I went to college but then returned for breaks so I don't really consider that moving out. I lived at home after I graduated. I finally moved out when I moved to another state for my job. I was 24. I did have a brief period where I moved into my sister home for 6 months. That was when I was 23.

I lived on my own after college, but had to move back in with my family when I decided to come back to NYC after a bad break-up. I lived at home for a year--so I moved out officially when I was 23.

I moved out and 8hours away when I got married at the age of 19.
I was gone 3 years and then when we split I lived at home again for about a year.

Not until I got married! Well, about 4-5 months before the big day... I'm an only child and my mom is divorced, so it was just the two of us for 20+ years.

I don't count college as moving out for me since I still lived with them during the summers, but I only lasted about 2 months at their house when I started my first job after graduation. I love my parents very much, but it was extremely difficult to share a house with them as an adult working full time.

I lived by myself for the next 5 years until DH moved in with me!

I went away to school so I was gone from 19 on, but I did return for summers. I was 21 though, and still in college, when I got my own apartment with my now husband. I would advise anyone considering the same course of action, to stay with their parents for as long as possible. We never gave ourselves enough time to save money!
