I'm really tempted to put my stroller together because I'm so excited about it. What a nerd! DH asked what I would do with it for the next 4 months, and I don't know! But I want to drive it! Get some practice! Learn to "work it."
When did you put your stroller together?

We bought the floor model so ours is already together. I totally push it around the house often. So does hubs so he can't make fun of me : )

Put it together now in case there is anything wrong with it. We bought the 2012 uppababy vista and the bassinet was defective...it would not unlatch from the base...I was pissed bc I spent so much money on a stroller and there was already something wrong with it. Customer service sent me instructions how to get it unlatched and sent me a new bassinet and I sent back the defective one. I didn't buy my stroller until LO was about 5-6 months so weren't using the bassinet (but will for baby #2)...I would have hated to have that happen close to my due date
We didn't assemble out high chair until we were getting close to solids and there is a slight problem with the tray...graco is sending a new tray but it is taking forever...I wish I had put it together earlier...

Hmmm, I didn't realize assembly was required. I imagine that I'll put it together around 30 weeks.

@sandy: Good advice! The UBV is what I have! I guess I can't take for granted that just because I spent a trillion dollars on it, that it's in perfect working order!

we had a universal snap and go and an umbrella stroller only. no assembly required!
i got a bob when LO was around 1 and it was super easy to put together

@MaisyMay: I got the Uppa Baby Vista and it has different attachments and nifty things like a bassinet that snap on and off...But I'm sure not all of them require such work!

We put ours together right after our first shower, I was probably around 28 weeks. It was super easy and I think DH got more excited than I was when he saw how awesome it is!

We put ours together as soon as it was delivered, and we kept it in our bedroom (we're short on space).
I clipped our car seat into it when that was delivered and installed the base, and we'd collapse it every now and then to make sure the mechanisms worked.

Right away! I came home from work, saw that it had been delivered, and immediately opened it up and got started. It is currently *parked* upstairs in the sunroom off the nursery, and I drive it around every few days.
ETA: Even though I had seen it in person before, I was still surprised at its size (I have the 2012 B-Ready).

Ha the day we got it!! I was SO excited to play with it. So that was at about 27 weeks.

I'm all about setting these things up early. I would push DH to do this and he would say we had plenty of time, and then we ended up having the baby early and rushing around to get things put together at the last minute. That is not how I like to operate. lol. Besides, there was something very comforting to see all her "stuff" set up and ready/waiting for her. I don't think it has the same effect on men.

@lydg: I think if I put it together (DH is offshore working now) he'll probably do some "driving" because he was pretty impressed with how awesome it was in BBB! He drove a pink one all over the place! Ha! Men!
@MsLipGloss: We have a 2 story house so I know it'll be parked downstairs - that's the only problem. But we're just going to have to find a parking space! I feel like I got a new car or something, I just want to drive it around:)
@hilsy85: Get ready! I'm probably going to be harassing your wall with annoying questions this weekend! The Maxi Cosi comes today so I'm planning on pretty much learning everything Uppa Baby this weekend! I cannot believe how happy a stroller makes me:)
@chrispygal: I'm with you. I mean, we really do have some time, but as we get stuff, it's probably a good idea to go ahead and set it up/find a place for it as we get it. Especially with a new fun toy like the UBV...I know someone ended up giving you a UBV...Are you using it yet? If so, do you like it?

We put ours together at about 35weeks. There wasn't much to it, just basically attaching the car seat to the umbrella stroller and removing the umbrella stroller seat that is for use after 5 months.

@jholler25: Yes! I use it more than the other stroller right now because of the bassinet. We've taken it to a couple of cookouts as well and it's perfect as it gives a place for her to sleep, I can change her in there, and it keeps her from sitting in her car seat too long (Dr warned against having her in there more than 1.5 hours at this age). I loooooove it and am so happy I have it. My other stroller is smaller and I think we will definitely use it when we want something more compact but the UBV is the bomb!! Now that I'm using it I would say it would totally be worth the money.

i would set it up right away and we have a tiny house! i will need practice breaking it down, etc. so i'm not as nervous when there is a tiny person waiting for me!

We bought ours at about 37 weeks, it was a floor model so happily it was fully assembled!

we are using a snap and go for a few months because I didn't want to pay for the Chicco adapter for our stroller (City Mini). I have been thinking about setting it up anyway just to see and make sure everything is okay before the return policy is up!

I would put ours together now (26 weeks), but my husband is doing work on two separate bedrooms in our house. Things are all displaced and I'm not sure where we'd keep it if it was assembled. Right now it is in a box in the garage.

We put ours together right away (23w) because I wanted to make sure it all worked. Turns out there was a tear in the foot muff fabric so they refunded us $25, woop! The box was also super gross from shipping, otherwise I might have left it a little while longer.. I wanted the box out of the apartment!

Britax was just having a sale, and my SIL ordered the B Ready and car seat for us. Its early, I am only 15 weeks...got it last week. Put it together right away to make sure all was OK, and because I could not wait to test it out. I put my Chihuahua in it and pushed her around! LOL

I put it together at my shower since people wanted to see it. Honestly, the box took up more space than the stroller folded up did!
