I don't need to wear it yet (even though I'm wicked bloated) but I've seen good deals on deal sites like ideeli and zulilly. I feel weird and scared about purchasing anything yet as I'm just 6 weeks....
When did you feel ok buying maternity clothes?

I held out buying maternity clothes, I just wore my low rise pants and used a hair elastic band in the button hole to extend the waist. By 19 weeks I gave in a bought a bella band which I used heavily and then by around 23 weeks I went to Destination maternity and bought lots of stuff

7 Weeks. My MIL wanted to buy me clothes while we were visiting them out of town, so I just started wearing everything she bought me right away.

I started early. I got my BFP at the end of April with an EDD of early January and knew I'd need winter clothes. There were tons of sales on cold weather stuff in April so I bought a few sweaters and a wool coat the same week of my BFP. I didn't buy anything to wear immediately until about 12 weeks or so because I couldn't stand anything touching my belly.

I didn't worry about jinxing things, and pretty much bought stuff on sale if I ran across a really good deal right from the start. Maternity pants are way more comfortable, so I don't think it's too early to buy jeans and a pair or two of dress pants if you need them for work. I stocked up on basics like maternity tank tops and t-shirts if I found them on clearance,, and although it was a while until I actually needed them, I was glad to be able to pull them put of my closet later on when tops started getting tight.

I bought my first maternity pants around 7 weeks, and everything was so much more comfortable, at 15 weeks I started to need maternity shirts.

Be careful buying some stuff early! I bought some super cute dresses of zulily and the like early on (like 11 weeks or so?) and by the time I was big and preggo at the end of the second trimester they didn't fit at all. I started buying more seriously around 18 or 19 weeks, but I wasn't really showing until then. Most of the stuff I bought then I was able to wear until close to the end, and the last month I WFH and lived in gym shorts and knit Old Navy skirts and tanks.

I think I bought my first pants around 7 weeks but I didn't wear them until 12 weeks. I didn't really buy anything else until after 12 weeks.

I waited till after first tri. I actually walked into a store and walked right out because I decided I was too superstitious to buy anything in the early days.

I started wearing maternity pants really early, maybe 11 weeks, since I already have a tummy. I was worried about jinxing myself and hesitated to buy clothing, but quickly gave in when I found the best maternity dress ever, on sale, at 7 weeks.
The one thing I'd say is that you really have no idea how big you'll get. I'd struggled with my weight in the past and expected to go back to overweight - I lost weight, and ended pregnancy skinner than I'd been in years. I know skinny active friends who got downright fat. It's impossible to predict, so I'd make sure that you could return anything you get in case you gain more or less than you expect.

I started buying and wearing maternity clothes at 20 weeks. I waited because I could still fit into my old clothes and I live in France where maternity clothes are crazy expensive so I was holding out for a trip to the US.

A girlfriend gave me a box of maternity clothes to borrow. My shirts were instantly not long enough, so I wore a lot of those with my jeans. By week 9 or so, I had purchased some pants to keep around. It's not like I thought buying maternity clothes would lead to another m/c. And I knew I'd eventually need them!

I bought a belly band at 8 weeks and maternity jeans at 10. I started wearing maternity tops at 12 weeks, before then I was just wearing looser tops that wouldn't require me to explain anything.

12 weeks. I had a miscarriage before so I didn't want to do anything before 12 weeks. Even though I was very uncomfy and really could have bought some before that.....

I started buying stuff early (like somewhere in the 6-8 week range) because I was so bloated that it just felt better, but my rule was that it had to look like regular clothes on me then but have room to stretch to a full preggo belly, so I mostly got items with a lot of stretch or ruching. That way, I could wear them early on, wear them throughout my pregnancy, and were them PP.

I think I used a belly band until around 12 weeks then I switched to maternity pants and couldn't figure out why I waited so long! lol. I was able to wear my regular shirts for quite a while but pants were key!
