Right now she faces me at 7.5 months because I like to see her face when we are on walks. I do wonder though when it is time to let her face out so she can see more stuff.

We moved LO to an umbrella stroller at 7 months. We were using a stroller frame before that.

She's 13 months and still faces me in the Bugaboo but when she's in the Maclaren, she faces out. She hasn't complained about facing me, plus she falls asleep after 5 minutes in the Bugaboo anyways.

Hmm, I haven't put her in an umbrella stroller yet. I guess I will let her face out for a couple of shorter strolls to see how she does but still have her facing me on longer expeditions.

6 months, but I would probably still have her facing me if our stroller had the option. I talk to her while she's in the stroller, and I'm pretty sure I look crazy.

@Weagle: I do this too! Everyone thinks I am crazy, but she is very vocal so I feel like I have to have 'conversations' with her.

as soon as he could sit up.. maybe 6 months? I'd prefer to have him face me but he would get so mad and try to turn around.
He actually turns himself around in shopping carts, too, no matter how tight I buckle him in!

@rachiecakes: My LO turns around in shopping carts too. Recently, we were in Target, and she turned around and stood up in the seat as I was turned to put something back on the shelf. She had just learned to pull up a few days before. It was terrifying.

My kids face outward in 2/3 of their strollers at almost 7 months. They like looking out, rather than up (with our snapngo), but I do make a point to stop and kiss them both every so often. They can get cranky if they go more than 15 min or so without actually seeing dh or I. They like being in the top of the cart facing me though too.

I didn't get a stroller until about 6 months, and so then it was just forward facing. I'd feel bad not letting a child see the world, honestly.
