I'm almost 19 weeks, and I've only felt a few flutters so far. I can't wait to feel stronger movement more frequently, because I'm always wondering how baby is doing in there. When did your movements become pretty noticable and more consistent?

I started to feel it more obviously and consistently right before 22 weeks. Now I know for sure what it is and i feel it every day.

At 20 weeks I could still go most of the day without feeling the baby if I was up walking around a lot. But I knew what it was when I did feel it by then. They are more regular now at 23, but it's still not all day, just a few times throughout the day. I don't think you really have to worry about regularity until 28 weeks.

thanks for the input, ladies. i thought maybe there was something wrong with me, but i guess i shouldn't expect lots of movement for a while. i hate waiting between appointments to check on the peanut... i can't wait 'til i can feel him/her more often.

I'm 26 weeks, and things are just starting to get more consistent. It can vary a lot by where your placenta is. I think with an anterior placenta you can feel less movement or feel it later because the placenta sort of cushions things. Even if you don't have an anterior placenta, though, it's perfectly normal to not feel a lot at 19-20 weeks. It can be frustrating, but try not to let yourself worry about it.

i didn't feel anything until 21 weeks and by that time, it was like thumps and twitches. i think its because i have an anterior placenta, so i completely skipped the flutters. i didn't feel regular movement (every few hours) until maybe...26-28 weeks?

I was feeling pretty regular movement at 22 weeks. But every now and then I'd have a day where baby was lazy. My doc knows I'm a worrier and she was very adamant that I not worry about tracking movement until 28 weeks.
