LO is 7 months old, so we obviously haven't started planning yet, but I have been brainstorming ideas for themes. I will probably start buying things for it when she is around 9 months old so it isn't as overwhelming.
When did you start planning for your LO's 1st birthday party? When did you start purchasing things for the party?

I started planning when she was in my belly 
I started purchases and diys when she was 6 months. This way I could take advantage of the after valentines day and Easter sales. Plus I did a lot of diy, and that takes time when you're watching a baby all day.

I had a general idea of themes and everything I would need around 6 months. Around 9 months I really started planning. It's a week from today! Eeak!

She was 6ish months when I started thinking about it, 9 months when I started actually doing stuff for it

I started thinking about it when LO was 3 months old. I came up with a theme first, then started my DIY decorations.
About 2 months prior to her 1st I booked the venue and ordered her cake and cupcake favors.
I'm not sure what I'm doing for DS.. but I've started thinking about it!

Lo will be 7 months next week and I've already decided what will happen, and most of the guestlist! Also thought about the cake. Going to wait a few more months before actually doing anything. I'm thinking hard about what her birthday present will be and I have no idea! Good thing I still have time.
