DH and didn't come up with LO's name until a week before she was born!
I'm not looking forward to having to name #2 and beyond! It's so stressful!
I think I'll start seriously thinking about names after our anatomy scan!

While we were TTC . . . although I kept it (mostly) to myself. DH would not discuss names in detail until after we knew the sex, so, I scheduled an elective u/s at 16 weeks to find out as soon as possible, and I think we decided (unofficially) on a name shortly thereafter.
p.s. my a/s is today

We pretty much had a list of names as we were TTC...And as soon as I found out I was pregnant, we already narrowed it down.

We had a boy's name just about right away but then found out we were having a girl - and I picked her name the same day. It was easy for us! I think it will be harder to name additional children.

@chopsuey119: We started thinking about names as soon as we found out we were pregnant. We didn't let anything stick until after the ultrasound, though. By then, we had narrowed down the girl names but had no clue on boys. Thank goodness we're having a girl!
Oh...side note...good thing about another ultrasound - can check those three lines again, make sure they were right the other two times, as well that she is a she.
@MsLipGloss: Exciting! And congrats on the girl! Girls are awesome.
@Rubies: My husband wanted nothing to do with even talking about having a kid before we got pregnant. He was on board with trying to get pregnant (what man wouldn't be happy to have sex all the time?) but he didn't want to talk about it until it until I was pregnant.

@Andrea: I totally thought I was having a boy--I definitely had names picked out for him. Finding out butterbean was a girl kinda threw me . . . and DH actually came up with her first name.
@ChopSuey119: Thanks! I am super excited, and goodness knows she is going to be a total priss pot . . . I can't wait!

@MsLipGloss: i think girl names are harder to pick out than boy names. too many girls in this world i do not like i guess.

We threw names around but didn't finalize it until the babies came.

We talked about it after the NT scan but got serious after the anatomy scan!

Hubby and I started playing with names long before we thought of TTC. It was more along the lines of when we heard a name, we'd be like, oh I like that! We haven't settled on any one name yet though.

About 5 years ago! Lol! DH and I talked about baby names all the time and pretty much had our boy and girl names decided before we started to TTC.

Before we were pregnant! But then once we were, we changed route. Finding names is tough... seeing its FOREVER! but I'm happy with both our choices (Mavrick and Sienna)

@MediaGirl: I also had an amnio, and got the final results a few days after the u/s, so she is fo sho a girl :D. But I totally agree - you can never be too sure!

We came up with LO's name if she were a girl or boy during my first trimester. It wasn't too hard because we wanted a family name, and we wanted it to be someone we know so we could tell LO stories about who she was named after. So we wrote a list of all of our deceased grandparents and great grandparents and DH picked his favorite. I love old people names so I loved them all!
If the next is a boy we'll pick the name that we chose for LO if she were a boy, and we've already discussed options for the next girl, but it's not final.

We had 2 boy names before we were pregnant, but we had 2 friends use one of the boy names so we have decided on the other (which was my favorite.) I think we have a girl name narrowed down, but DH still isn't 100% sure he's in love with it.
I think we are having a boy (and so does DH) so maybe we won't have to worry about a girl! haha if so I hope he goes with the one I have loved for years!

A couple months after we were married which is about a year before we planned on TTC. TTC got pushed off so, we have casually talked about names for about 2 years now.

We had a boy name from well before we started TTC. The girl name likely won't be settled for a while.

DH brought up names around the 12 week mark...then we talked a little more about names before our anatomy scan....then we found out the gender but didn't talk names for awhile again....now I'm almost 35 weeks and we still haven't decided!

DH and I've had a list going since NTNT. It changes regularly... he has an app on his iPad that he consults every once in a while I think we'll be more serious about it after the anatomy scan

We picked out our boy name when we were dating/engaged! haha. We are still working on our girl name.

We started talking about them when we started TTC. We have a couple that we like. Now we just need the baby.

We started playing with names when we were still dating. Mind you, it wasn't very serious - he kept throwing out names like Tibor and Filbert.

We casually talked about names before I was even pregnant, but now I am 37 weeks and we still don't have a name picked out.

I've been thinking about names since i found i was pregnant. But not too seriously. DH thinks we need to wait until we find out the gender which i agree. Once we know if we need a boy or girl name, we will probably start discussing it more seriously.

With both boys, we named them at the hospital. With #2, we pretty much decided the day we were discharged b/c we didn't want to do his SSN and birth certificate ourselves so had to pick a name. Boy names are so hard!

We started thinking about names as soon as we decided to start trying...of course, the names change constantly. Secretly, I've been thinking of baby names since the 6th grade!
