I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow, and just wondering when most people have felt those first flutters/kicks
And when was the first time your SO could feel them from the outside?

I had a anterior placenta so not till 20 weeks I think? My husband felt her a few weeks later.

Looking back, I think I started feeling very subtle movement at the end of the 17th, and into the 18th week. I felt her move for sure at the very end of my 19th week.

Ah ok...I should add that I have a posterior placenta (or at least that's what it was at 16 weeks). @regberadaisy: hope you enjoyed your first mother's day with your sweet baby!

I started feeling flutters/non-distinct movement around 16-17 weeks and more distinct kicks and whatnot around 18 weeks! I don't have an anterior placenta, however. I'm told that can take a little longer so LO can get stronger kicks in!
ETA: DH could feel them kick around 18-19 weeks.

I think at around 16 weeks. DH and others could feel the baby at 18 weeks.

I definitely knew what I was feeling at 18 weeks. Before that, I wasn't sure and still can't be sure what I was feeling was baby or not. It's pretty cool when you feel those first kicks...and he/she keeps you wanting more!

14 weeks. But from everything I read that was very early.

I started this same post at 17 weeks--LOL
At 17 weeks, my OB told me the funny feelings I had were baby kicking. It took about 5 weeks for my husband to feel it. By 25 weeks or so, we could SEE the little guy moving in there.
I have to tell you--those 5 weeks waiting for DH to be able to feel LO were frustrating!
ETA Oh, I felt him once at 14 weeks--but then nothing since that one until week 17.

For my first on 18weeks on the dot, for my second (maybe because I knew what to expect, at 16 weeks)

Woo hoo, so it seems like in the next week I can expect to feel something, hopefully And definitely within the next two weeks.

The first time I felt like I felt movement was 18 weeks - and now at 20.5 I'm definitely noticing it.
Looking back, I think I felt one or two flutters even earlier - end of 17 weeks - but wasn't sure what I was feeling!
(I have anterior placenta, too). DH still can't feel anything (she stops when he puts his hand there) but he's seen her kick my phone a few times!

I didn't feel anything till 20 or 21 weeks. (I wanted to weigh in to make sure anyone who's thinking "oh no, I'm 20 weeks and haven't felt anything!" can rest assured that it's totally normal!)
I think DH could start to feel it closer to 24.

I think DH started feeling kicks when I was 21 weeks?

I didn't really feel anything until almost 24 weeks, but she hasn't stopped moving since then!

I felt my first flutter around 18 weeks, however didn't feel the baby again until 19 weeks. They are very spread apart at this time, only a couple times a week, hopefully this week they will be stronger and more frequent!

I started feeling a little flutter here or there around week 15, but still nothing consistent. I'm at 19 weeks now and I keep waiting for it to get more regular!!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Pretty much @ exactly 20 weeks. Felt really regular movement a few weeks later and DH probably felt movement around 22 weeks, too. I too have an anterior placenta.

Don't remember with my first but with my second I started feeling some movement late in week 17 then nothing steady until around week 20 (I have an anterior placenta with #2).

i am 21 weeks and 4 days and still haven't felt anything my doctor said i should in the next week or two. I asked if i have an anterior placenta and he said i don't so i really hope i feel something soon!
A few weeks ago though i did think i felt those bubbles i have heard about it, but i really can't be sure if that's what it was.

@PurpleUnicorn: i wouldn't worry too much! i never had the flutters or anything, they just felt like terrible gigantic gas bubbles, but without the pain. i still have a hard time telling them apart, but if my stomach starts to hurt after a few, i know its not baby! hah.

I started feeling flutters around week 17/18... feel them pretty regularly now (almost 20 weeks); haven't felt exterior yet and don't expect to-- I have an anterior placenta as well~

It was after 20 weeks with my first but I swear I felt something at around 12 weeks now with my 2nd. This morning I was lying in bed and I for sure felt a bunch of bumping around going on in there. I am 14 weeks tomorrow.

around 17 and a half weeks i felt my first super mild flutters but they were not distinctive until 20 weeks and not regular or able to be felt outside really till past 24 weeks. I have a posterior placenta also. Alot of early feelings can be gas too. make sure to note where you feel it. should be super low like in your crotch.
GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts
I think about 18-19 weeks I felt it, DH not until closer to 28 weeks

Rare flutters at 16 weeks. And more and more since then. Pretty regular flutters now at 19 weeks, with a few taps and other things thrown in. I have a posterior placenta, which helps.

Around 16 weeks with my first and 13-14 weeks with my 2nd. Definitely felt the kicks earlier the 2nd time around!
