We waited till she grew out of newborns, which only took 2 weeks. She was 8 lbs 13 oz at birth. We only have BG AIO OS.

I was hoping to start using cloth at 2 weeks... but we'll see how big the baby is by then

I think I'm going to get some lil'joey newborn diapers with the snap-down front for the cord, and start using them from day one.

my newborn gDiapers have a snap down in front to lower the diaper for the cord stump... Do you have any of those?
Or... just get some old fashioned diaper covers from a thrift store, and use the big square cloth diapers that you have to fold up.
Or buy one pack of disposables

We did not do newborn diapers since I expected a big baby. He popped out at 10lbs 9oz. We were able to use one size dipes from the beginning. We waited until his cord fell off which was 3 weeks.

We started with sunbaby pocket dipes which were similar to bg 4.0s, but cut a bit smaller. He also fit into lawsuit and bg 4.0s. He did not fit into Flips or smartipants until about 15 pounds.

What does your cd stash consist of?

We started her on her 4th day of life. For now we are using rented newborn cloth diapers. The rental is from Diaper Daisy, I can't remember the brand of the diapers, but they're designed to fit under the umbilical stump for newborns.

I have a full drawer of BumGenius and Fuzzibunz pocket diapers waiting for DD as soon as she fits into them. A that point we can send back the rented newborn diapers. I have a feeling that won't be for another 6 weeks or so, but we'll see...

DD is currently about 6.5 lbs, and she was just under 6 lbs when we started her in her newborn cloth diapers.
