I never believed in Santa because I grew up in Korea. Then when I was 5 and living in America, I woke up in the middle of the night to see my mom wrapping a gift. She told me it was from Santa in the morning, but I knew it was from her. So I never believed in Santa, the tooth fairy, Easter bunny, etc.
Charlie will be 7 next month and definitely still believes in Santa!

In my house, if you stopped believing, you stopped receiving! It will be the same with my baby. I absolutely love the magical feeling of Christmas!

I was in first grade. I'm the youngest so I'm sure I found out much sooner than my siblings. I kept asking my mom and she finally told me the truth.

I never believed in Santa. I grew up in Germany and it's not really a thing there. St Nicholas is the spirit of giving and Christmas. I plan on doing something similar.

I was 9. I'd had my doubts at that point but it was confirmed by my teacher when she asked the class when we found out santa wasn't real...I wish I'd been brave enough to tell her "right now!"

I was pretty old. 10 or 11 maybe? I mean, it wasn't a huge shock to me... I just wasn't willing to spoil the magic.

I was 3. My mom told me the truth because she didn't want to lie to me anymore. She was older and had a hard time learning the truth about Santa as a kid. So we always pretended but we didn't actually believe. My daughter is 3 and talks about Santa. I go along with it but I won't tell her that he's coming to her house or giving her presents. She doesn't really realize that's what he does yet and I'm not going to make that a thing for her.

Never! I mean I figured it out but always liked holding on to the magic. The holidays and the magic of Santa are some of my very favorite memories.

I honestly have no idea. There was never any moment where I was like "my whole life is a lie!". I know I believed when I was around 5-6 but I don't remember finding out he wasn't real. We also only ever got like one present from Santa and the rest were from my parents and relatives. So eventually Christmas became more about the magic of gifts and cookies and stuff than about Santa.
It also may have been that I grew up overseas and understood that Santa was kind of an American idea (at least as Americans do Santa). I think as a kid I had a pretty early understanding of cultural artifacts.

I never did. My parents were super, super religious (Christian) so Christmas growing up was a huge celebration but it was more centered around Jesus's birth and all of that. We read stories about St. Nick and has Santa paraphernalia around the house and took pics on Santa's lap, but we were never told he was real. He was just a cool Christmas character, like Rudolph and Frosty.
Once we got older, my mom would write "from Santa" on the gifts to be cheeky.
We never did Christmas like they do on TV. We were not allowed to wake up and run into the living room and start ripping open presents, haha. We always had our Christmas at night, and we would have a huge dinner and sing Christmas carols, and my dad would read the Christmas story from the bible, and then the kids would pass out presents and kids would open first and adults last.

I don't have any memories of believing in Santa. I'm sure I believed at a young age but that's further back than I can remember. My parents didn't emphasize Santa much though, and none of the gifts were from Santa, he was just the delivery person.
I do remember feeling very smug that I had figured out that the tooth fairy was my mom. I have no idea what age that was though.

My family was all about the magic of Christmas and I love it!!
In reality though I was wayyy too old when I finally figured it out and it was only bc of a fluke. I think I was in 5th grade so pretty old. I saw my parents loading new bikes into the back of dad's truck at a store (mom had sent me off to grab "something she had forgotten" and I returned too fast I guess) and then Christmas morning the bikes were from santa, so I finally figured it out! LOL

@Umbreon: I remember in 3rd grade we got letters from the 1st graders, they had written them to santa and our task was to respond to them. I believed in santa at the time, and I remember thinking "geesh, why didn't they just send these to santa!!"....LOL

I believed for a long time, but I'm not sure exactly what age I stopped. Maybe 10? I do distinctly remember though that it just hit me one day that it probably wasn't real. I asked my parents and they confirmed that yes, Santa wasn't real. And then I realized it wasn't just Santa, it was the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny too.

I'm guessing 1st-2nd grade? I remember my cousin (my age) had lined all the cousins up and asked who believed in Santa or not and I didn't want to admit that I still did so probably started questioning then. And we eventually found our 'santa' presents hidden at home, I was never upset about it.
I remember at one point almost-not-believing and then my godmother told me she saw santa's sleigh and reindeer fly by and I 'knew' she wouldn't lie to me so I totally believed. 
My 4th grade teacher told the whole class Santa wasn't real. I hope no one still believed!
