I don't really burp B anymore. He is pretty good about burping (or farting) on his own!

We still do it, even though she is starting to not burp more and more

@rahlyrah: Sometimes I burp and sometimes I don't... he seems fine when I don't, but I feel weird just quitting! Ha.
@swedishfish: Haha! I seriously wondered if you already posted this before I wrote it.

3-4 weeks for the baby and 2.5 months for LO.

4 or 5 months? Maybe earlier? He was really good at getting burps out on his own!

I have been trying to burp LO consistently but he doesn't usually burp so I don't know if I need to keep it up (4 weeks)... I have read that once they're 3 mos or so, with consistently good head control and spending more time upright, you don't have to because the burps will come out themselves.

i think for a long time... probably 5-6 months. charlie could burp on his own, but we would just get the biggest burps out of him!

We still do it at 5 months. Sometimes we can't get a burp out but web usually do. If we don't, it tends to interrupt her sleep.

I think around 5 months. She would burp randomly on her own so that's when I stopped.

I never really burped my daughter because she would always burp on her own and not when I was patting her as a NB and now (6m) I only burp her after a bottle. She always nurses to sleep so I am not going to wake her to burp!

I think once he was able to sit up really well and burp himself. Or when he would finish nursing and burped as soon as he sat up.

I don't really intentionally burp her like before, but when she's done eating and I pick her up she burps pretty much every time. LO is 4 months old.

i think around 4 months. it happened so gradually and one day i was all--holy cow you can burp on your own! i remember getting so stressed out waiting for that burp to come out after a feeding because LO had bad gas that would make him cry. and cry. and cry.
