I've never once sat in the back.

ETA: she's only really cried in the car 1-2x though. She likes the car.

@mrskc: haha don't feel like a weirdo! We just did a 2 hour drive too and she slept the whole time. I think if I'm back there it just keeps her up/upsets her more.

@honeybear: sign me up for the weirdo team! DD is 9 months and I only sit in the front if there's a third person who wants to sit in the back with her.

@katsupgirl: I hadn't even realized that others thought about this, to be honest!

My husband doesn't care where I sit when he's driving, and I've generally enjoyed hanging out in back with LO, so I just sit there sometimes. I don't feel like I have to, but I guess I often want to! And like I said, it's usually more convenient to just plop down beside LO after wrangling him into his seat. For long trips, I want more legroom, though.

LO is almost 6 months and one of us sits in the back if we're both in the car. part of it is because i usually drive, and with the carseat behind the passenger seat, my husband can't fit in the passenger seat. we could rearrange, obviously, but i guess it's habit now. hmm...

I sat in back with him on the way home from the hospital, but have sat in front ever since!

Only on the way home from the hospital! I can see doing it again on a long road trip maybe... But in a way it
    Might be more stressful.

LO is 7 months and we do it a lot still, too. Almost any passenger in our car would rather sit by her than shotgun.

I always sit in the back! My son insists on it when I am not driving.

I usually drive, but in the past 6 years, I have ridden in the back with him when there's a bunch of adults in the car. But, for the most part, he's always been back there on his own.

Whenever DH is driving I always sit in the back with him and he's almost 15 months! I guess I should start sitting in the front, I haven't even really thought about it.

    She's 14 months and I still do and I don't think it's odd.

I sat in the back on the way home from the hospital and maybe a few more times. After that it didn't occur to me. She's always been pretty happy in her car seat. In the first few months I do remember pulling into a gas station or 7-11 just so I could check on her because she was so quiet back there! I got a mirror so I didn't have to let that paranoia take over!

I sat in the back for the first 2-3 weeks when we realized she would almost always fall asleep in the car & there was no reason for me to be back there.

I only sat in the ack on the way home from hospital. We avoid sitting in the back with her because we don't want her to get dependent on having someone back there with her.

I've never sat in the back with her. Well, when we're driving other people around I might volunteer the front seat so then I'm sitting in the back with her
