Eli is 6 months old and he weights 19lbs. He is big for his car seat now I think... his feet are dangling out... Was wondering when should I get another infant car seat? Also... any suggestions out there of which one to get?

We switched at about the same stage. I think we were completely out of it by 7 months. Ours only went up to 22 lbs and DS was close outgrowing it by weight. I will say the look on his face the first time he was in his "big" car seat was priceless. He loved it and all the extra space.

We switched at 7 months. We have the Britax Advocate 70cs! LO loves it!

Lo is 7 months and we're just talking about switching soon. But we probably should have done it sooner.

We did it about 9 months of age (~18 lbs). We switched to a Recaro Pro Ride. We just bought a second one for my husband's truck because we like it so much.

Right around the stage you're at -- 6 mos and he was around that for weight and also long! We went with a Britax Marathon and really like it.

We started using a convertible around 4 months. I've heard though even if their feet dangle out, as long as they meet the height/weight requirements its still important to keep them rear facing.

We just switched about a week ago to our Britax Blvd 70 & LO is 9.5 months.

We switched to the Britax marathon at 6 months and haven't looked back!

i'm no expert, but i wouldn't get another infant carseat. he'll grow out of it. would get a convertible. i have the britax boulevard in my amazon cart.

we kept charlie in his until 13 months! but we don't have a car so he only sat in it a handful of times after we switched him from the car seat + frame to a regular stroller at 6 months.
