There are pros and cons to sharing this news earlier or later in your pregnancy.
Or you could be like Katherine Heigl in "Knocked Up," and just never ever talk about it at all!
When did you tell your boss or co-workers that you were pregnant?

I'm definitely curious to hear the answer to this one as well! I'm not pregnant yet, but I'm assuming I will tell my boss and co-workers sometime in my second trimester. I would want to wait to make sure the pregnancy was going to "stick" and I would want to tell them before it becomes obvious (showing), and obviously I would need to tell them to give them time to prepare for my maternity leave.
I'm curious when/how other people told!

I work with a fairly small team of 10 people and venture to say that they assume we'll be trying soon. I started this job the week after we got engaged, they were a part of my wedding fesitivities, and share every day life with me. I don't think it'll be a shocker when I tell them, but I plan on waiting 'til the second trimester to tell them and most people in general.

i told my boss right around the end of the 1st trimester but asked him not to tell people yet. around week 16 or so, he asked if he could tell my coworkers, so i told him to tell our "team" but not tell the whole company (small company). but since it's small, i'm sure they'll all talk.

Gah. I'm struggling with this right now. I feel like I need to tell my boss before my next appointment (I want to tell him at 10 weeks). My boss is cool and would not tell anyone. My problem is his office opens up into our owner's office. The owner is bff's with a girl in my company who is a blabbermouth. I think I'm going to have to ask my boss if he wants to go for a walk around the building with me so I can tell him and no one else will hear us.
I will tell the PM Mgr around the same or at 12 weeks so he knows I can't travel after March. I'll then tell a few more people and let the rest figure it out from word of mouth or when I start showing.

Baby #1 - 14 weeks. People started eyeing that my lunches were getting way too healthy and I'm not good at lying or denying suspicions.
Baby #2 - a select few found out at 10 weeks when I fainted at work. officially told the boss at 16 weeks.

I told my boss after returning from a vacation at 14 1/2 weeks, but he does not work in the same office so was not able to see any changes in my behavior or other clues that only he might have picked up on since his wife had just had a baby. I didn't have any morning sickness and I was never a coffee drinker so there were no clues there. I had started wearing a Belly Band, but with long, loose shirts. I told my local co-workers a few days later and some of them admitted to thinking that something was "off", but they didn't know exactly what was going on. Most of my co-workers seemed surprised when I told them.

I told my boss at 13 weeks. I wanted to hold out longer but coworkers were speculating (out loud) and I needed to make sure my boss heard it from me first before hearing it from others.

I told my boss a couple days after we got our BFP because we are really close and I knew I could trust him not to say anything. Plus hes already given me the go ahead to take any time off i need for appts and a couple extra days off. I won't tell the rest of the office until at least 12 weeks.

I waited until the 20 week scan was ok. I only told the people closest to me at work and no one else so most people didn't notice until about 7 months when I finally did show. I know people didn't understand why I kept it so quiet but I was always too paranoid and if they were not close to me then I didn't feel it was their business anyway.

I told my coworkers a few days after I found out.. so around week 7?

I waited until I was about 17 weeks. It was as long as I could go with the way my belly popped. I didn't feel comfortable telling them any sooner and made my appointments super early in the morning so I wouldn't make anyone suspicious. I continued to drink my morning coffee, so no one had a clue.

I'm not pregnant yet but I've wondered about this. My co-workers know we are ttc but I'd like to wait until the 2nd trimester to tell them. However, I'm worried because I work at a bank and I have to lift 50-60 pound bags of coin on a weekly basis and I'm not sure if that will be a problem. I'll have to tell someone if I can no longer do that and everyone will be suspicious.

I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to hold out too long on this one. Every time I am genuinely not feeling well, their first response is always, "Are you pregnant!?" "I bet you're pregnant!"
So, if I actually do have morning sickness, I can only imagine how much speculation there will be!

I'm trying to figure this out now. My boss and most of my team work in a different office from me, so they aren't going to be able to pick up on anything from seeing me. One coworker on my team is in the same location as me, as well as several other employees in the same department. So I'm guessing they may figure things out when I start to show. Funny thing is I was so sick Monday I decided to work from home, and my local teammmate said she wasn't feeling well either, she was really nauseous, there must be a bug going around. I was giggling to myself as I told her, huh, yeah, that's how I'm feeling too.
I'm leaning toward telling them all at 12/13 weeks, right before Christmas. I'd rather just come out with it than have people start to speculate. We do a weekly call on Fridays so I figured I would just make an annoucement at the end of the call, after giving my boss a private heads up first.

I'm trying to decide on this now, too. I'm thinking I'll tell them at 12-13 weeks (I'm 10.5 wks now and just had an awesome ultrasound yesterday!)
I have a trial starting at 14 weeks (and it won't be over til I'm 16 weeks). I already don't fit into any of my pants and have a little bump and feel like I just want to get it over with already. Also, I feel like the guy I'm trying this case with will figure it out (if he hasn't already....). My hesitation is that a few attorneys here left recently and a woman is going out on maternity leave at the end of the month, so there's a lot of crap going on here.

First time around I told my boss at 10 weeks and the rest of the office at 13. This time around, I will tell my boss at 14 weeks and the rest of the office a couple of days later. I want to see my doc first and thats at 13 weeks.
