LO is 6 months old and her stranger anxiety/separation anxiety started at 4.5 months. Now, she's 6months and now, it seems as though she doesn't mind being held by someone else as long as she can see me. She's going through a crazy separation anxiety phase.

I think the question is about stranger anxiety but I see a lot of people talking about separation anxiety so I will answer both.

As far as separation anxiety, from birth. I've never been able to leave her alone in a room up until this day and she is 21 months.

For stranger anxiety, I don't think she has ever cried from just being looked at. As far as being held by strangers, I don't think we've had much issue with that since she started daycare at 6 months and so has grown up being held by people other than me or DH. And now she's big enough that people don't feel the need to pick her up when they see her. But she is shy, so will hug my leg or something like that if we are in a group of strangers.

LO was always shy with people, but it got bad at 4 months. Like she would cry if someone looked at her bad. Now at 6 months people are allowed to look and even talk to her, but it's rare that they're allowed to hold her if it's not me, hubby, or my mom.
