6.5 months, but he was early on all of his physical milestones.

Just started army crawling last week at 10.5 months! LO 1 was 6.5 months when she started army crawling and 11 months for real crawling.

DS started crawling at 7 months.
DD started army crawling/rocking on all fours at 7.5 months. She hasn't started to real crawl yet(she's still 7.5 months)

Army crawling 5.5 months and full speed ahead to crawling about 2 weeks later at 6 months.

Right before she turned 7 months, but every baby is so different. My nephew didn't show interest in crawling until he was almost a year. He's a bright and wonderful 3-year-old now!

Almost 9 months and she gets up on all fours and rocks but no actual crawling yet. She can scoot herself backward and in a circle though.

Wow, there is soo much variation... thanks ladies! I guess I will be patient, eventually he will reach the milestones at his own pace. He still gets around by rolling (and he was late rolling, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised).

She started crawling at 6 months, 2 days. She never army crawled.

army crawling from 6-10 months… he had no interest in crawling on his knees until 11 months.

My DD is 8 months next week and she doesn't even roll! She *can*, she just doesn't! I have no idea when she will crawl.... one day she is just going to take off like a rocket, I reckon!

8 months here and only army crawling, but not even super fast or far. She's just finally gotten on all fours recently but doesn't even try to do that on a regular basis.

L is 10 months and just recently started seeming at all interested or motivated in wanting to get around. So far he's fine with just using a combo of rolling, scooting his butt, and diving forward to get what he wants, but I'm hoping crawling will come soon! I don't think it's a milestone to worry about too much though as long as they're on track with others - some babies never crawl and will just skip right to walking!

6 or 7 months. but i've seen babies at LO's daycare who didn't start crawling until later (like 1 year old) and they are just fine (they've moved to standing pretty quickly and i can tell walking is around the corner).

I don't think crawling is a necessary milestone... I know several babies that never crawled! They just scooted then went straight to cruising and walking.
Charlie belly crawled at 6 months and real crawled at 7. Olive belly crawled around 8 months I think? But didn't real crawl until 12 months and didn't walk until 18 months. I know it's hard not to worry, but lots of kids crawl later than 9 months.

@QBbride: D didn't start crawling until the week of his first birthday. I know where you're coming from! I worried constantly. It's so hard not to!

C started at 10.5 months. I was so tired of people assuming she was crawling. At 13 months she's not walking yet, even though she knows how. I think she's just a careful kid and waits until she's mastered something before she takes off. Don't worry, mama!

7-months. Our pediatrician didn't even ask about her crawling. When I asked about it at the 6-month appointment she said some babies go straight to cruising/walking and it wasn't a big concern.

She started army crawling/creeping at 9 months and traditional crawling at 10 months. Actually she pulled up to stand and did traditional crawling at the same time.

9.5 months and still not crawling here! I keep getting the same comments, and I try not to compare her to others.

Can you guys describe to me what cruising and army crawling mean?
My LO is 9.5 months and is alllllllmost there. He gets up on all fours and can take 1-2 steps. I think our wood floors are slippery and slowing him down a little. So I'll say 9-10 months.

She started at 7 mos but only crawled one time and went straight to cruising (?)
