He started crawling at 8 months, almost to the day. He never army crawled.

@MoonMoon: Army crawling is when they lay on the floor (not up on all fours) and use their arms to pull them forward. Cruising is when they pull up on furniture and use it as support as they walk along it.

It was 10 months. I was so worried... but hopefully your LO will soon!

8 months was when he started army crawling. He real crawler for like a week just after he turned 9 months...after that he started walking and had zero interest for crawling unless he was crawling to something so tha he could pull himself up.

@QBbride: My LO was a roller too! He perfected the art of rolling and had zero interest in crawling. Had me worried sick. Then suddenly, about a week after his first birthday, he woke up from his nap and crawled across the room like he had been doing it for months. Did the same thing with walking at 15 months - no interest and then just walked into the kitchen one afternoon and said hi. Now at 18 months he's running. (And yes, I kinda miss those days of staying in one place!) If there's one thing I've learned about milestones over the last 18 months, it's that some LOs just like to take their time!

Almost 9 months, and he did the army crawl. He is now almost 1, and just starting to perfect the crawl (while trying to stand and cruise too). Like others said...every child is different.

Army crawling at six months. She's 7 months now and still army crawls, although she's really fast at it now.

I know quite a few babies who went straight to walking! I wouldn't be worried.
LO started army crawling just before 6 months, and is getting up on her knees now at 7 months.
