I'm 32.5 weeks, and baby is very comfortably breech...head and feet both up by my belly button, butt on my cervix (yoga baby!). I'm not particularly concerned yet (even though E flipped down at like 27 weeks). The doctor told us at the ultrasound last week that only like 3-4% of babies are still breech at term. He's confident she'll turn, except that my placenta is anterior and very high, and every ultrasound we've had has shown her using it as a pillow...she seems very comfortable up there.

She turned between 16 and 20 weeks. I hope your LO flips soon!

She just turned last week, so just before 33 weeks. Last weekend I could feel her sideways, which was freaking me out (they won't even attempt to externally turn a transverse breech baby). Then early in the week I noticed she had turned vertical and my midwife confirmed she is head down now. It's a lot more comfortable this way.

Sometime between 28 and 30 weeks I think. Still don't have US confirmation but dr was pretty sure he was head down at 30 weeks.

Mine both turned before the 20 week ultrasound and stayed that way. You could start doing some Spinning Babies techniques to encourage her to flip.

LO1 was head down from 16 weeks on. LO2 was head down from about 28 weeks.

She was head down at 31 weeks, breech at 33 weeks, and head down at 35 weeks (and stayed that way).

@coopsmama: @lovehoneybee: I did do some spinning babies moves over the weekend (mainly I did some cat cow and kneeled on the couch with my elbows on the floor, forward inversion I think). But since I did them like, 3 times, I think she was going to flip anyway.

Probably not helpful/what you want to hear but never. I tried several different methods to move him and he wasn't at all interested. He was never a big mover and never flipped after 24 weeks.

I don't remember with my first,but I'm 29 weeks now and felt her flip head down around 27 weeks. There's a lot of things you can do to encourage a flip (diving to the bottom of a pool, spinning babies, and chiropractors) & discourage her from getting lodged in there (like, don't do squats or sit reclined with your knees up).

You're unlikely to get this far, but have you researched your options for a vaginal breech birth? My hospital does them, and they're becoming more and more common.

C was frank breech til 35+ weeks! Was born at 38+2 (and head down)

My girl flipped and flopped the whole time. Head down at 37 weeks, head up at 38.
Everyone asked how I was going to get her to turn. I tried all the spinning baby stuff and more, and it stressed me out. I decided it was more important to enjoy the remaining days of pregnancy and rest than try to get her to turn around.

Around 28w with my first. And my second was around 35ish weeks or so. She was smaller and just had lots more room than big brother! They were still able to push her head up 2 days before she was born (so she wasn't fully engaged).

My first was head down the whole time. My second was breech at 29 weeks and head down at 30.

@Pumuckl: my midwife said second babies don't usually fully engage until labor starts. I had never heard that before.
@lovehoneybee: also my friends baby was head up at 36 weeks. They did acupuncture and some other stuff and she flipped in time to be born a week late (her first was induced 12 days after her due date so she expected it).

At my 38 week appointment A was transverse breech, and had been that way for my entire pregnancy. I had already had a repeat c-section scheduled for 39 weeks 1 day, and she had flipped at some point during that week.

@coopsmama: @Foodnerd81: I've actually been doing that kneel on the couch elbow on the floor thing for a few weeks...it helps with the sciatic pain!

@GrapeCrush: that is so wild! How did you feel about that? Did you end up having a VBAC?
They did an ultrasound the morning of my scheduled c-section, but I knew she was still breech. Still, if I had been wrong and they told me she had flipped, I think I would have cried from such a mix of emotions. I was so prepared to go forth with the c-section and meet our daughter that morning, so to be sent home to wait would have been tough, especially if she ended up flipping breech again!

All I know is K was head down at 34 weeks...not sure when she flipped though...

@Happygal: I was ok with it, because I wasn't having the c-section because she was breech. Trying for a VBAC was never on my radar. I was more surprised that she had actually flipped because I didn't feel it at all!

I really don't remember with my first two but #3 was footling breech on Saturday and today he was head down

Head down at 20 weeks, transverse frank breech at 26 weeks, head down at 27.5 weeks. I'm pretty sure he still head down but hes shifted from my right to my left at 29 weeks.

Mine was tucked in head up butt down at 33 weeks, and didn't budge, even with a version. Not to be a bummer or anything.
