Poor R looked like a balding old man at birth. She had hair on the side but hardly any on top. She's finally gotten a little hair on top but I'm still waiting for a thick head of hair to come in. R is 14 weeks old. When did your LO grow some hair?

I started to grow a lot around 8-9 months and then really took off after she turned a year.

I'm still waiting. DD has hair, for sure, but I was expecting Rapunzel, considering the mops my husband and I have. Can't wait for barrettes - for now, at 11 weeks, it's all stretchy headbands with ungodly large embellishments.

@deerylou: I seriously love infants with giant hair accessories. I have some pictures of C wearing some of truly ridiculous proportions. Hahaha

My DD was born with loads of hair. It hasn't fallen out at all but her head has outgrown it and now it looks really sparse!!! I can't wait until it starts growing properly!

LO has a mullet! She was born with a good deal in the back, but her forceps delivery stunted the growth on top. It's just now (3 mos) starting to grow in, but it looks like she will have a mullet until I even it out

Dd had a lot to begin with but the growth took off around three months. But only on top, the hair on the back of her neck is still only an inch long.....it's a reverse mullet.

DD is 16 months and still doesn't have a lot of hair. She finally has enough in the back that I have to comb it a little, but there's not much on the sides.

@loveisstrange: Oh, you mean like this? Disclaimer: I did not purchase this one, as it was a bit too enormous, even for my taste:

@oliviaoblivia: Oh the mullet! E is in full on mullet mode now too, the back overtook the top around 10-11 months and is now halfway down her back, but not evenly, nor fully. The only way to describe it is a mullet that even Billy Ray Cyrus would have envied!
@swedishfish: LO was born with a lot and never lost it, but I found the growth really took off once she stopped spending most of her time laying on her back (ie once she started sitting with support around four months or so).
ETA: a pic taken just now of the mullet (it's humid so it has curled up a fair bit, it's longer when straight!)

R had some but at 5.5 months it really started filling in. She is 7 months next week but still isn't super long.
@deerylou: OMG! That is bigger than her head! Like a baby Kentucky Derby hat:)
