DS kept two naps past 18 months, but DD isn't even 11 months and I think she's trying to drop her morning nap. How about your LOs? Did you encourage them one way or another? I wanted DS to keep two because I was pregnant, but I'd live DD to drop to one because it'd be convenient for summer outings.

Right around 13 months when she moved to the toddler room at daycare where all the kids were on one nap.

DD is 16 mo and she went down to 1 nap last month. It was all her! I had no problem keeping 2 naps till whenever but she started fighting bed time really bad.

Xander dropped to one nap around 18m. But Logan switched around 12m. Every kid is different!

So they tried to drop him to one nap at daycare at like 11 months bc he was one of the youngest. I pitched a fit and then they did it for real at about 12. I kept him with two naps on the weekends for several more months though... he totally needed it. He was a mess for a while. I guessed until 14 months.

Right around 16 months. The transition actually went pretty well but he was showing signs of being ready (mostly sleeping in later). My goal was to keep him on two naps through Christmas this past year and I did; we started transitioning the week between Christmas and New Year's.

I would say around 13-14 months. Whenever he moved to the toddler room at school, it got confusing to have 2 at home and 1 at school so we just dropped the morning nap. I kind of miss it!

13 months when she moved to another room at daycare. Those kids were all on 1 nap. I wanted to wait until 15 months, but there wasn't anything I could do really.

DD is just about 11 months, and still taking 2 naps consistently. Her morning nap has gotten LONG, I'm talking 2.5-3.5 hours! Her afternoon nap is 1-1.5 hours or so long.

around 13.5 months. He was fighting the afternoon nap like crazy and then only sleeping 45 minutes for it, so I gave up. His transition was pretty easy and he didn't have much problem staying awake a bit longer in the mornings.

I took her morning nap away when she was a little over a year old. She was a little cranky about it at first, but I just added in some fun morning activities and she adjusted after a couple of weeks. If your older LO doesn't take a morning nap, I think she is fine to drop down to one so you can do fun stuff over the summer. I am also a huge fan of a long afternoon nap so I can clean, prep dinner, AND still have some mommy time.

For my first, I had her drop it so that by 18 months when my second was born, she was well established with just one nap. So we probably started the transition around 16 months?
For my second, she was down to one nap by like.. 10 months. We just weren't home for her to have regular naps. It wasn't ideal, but if she needed an extra nap I tried to work it in, or she slept in the baby carrier.

we pushed charlie at 15 months because his bedtime was getting later. he got more sleep overall with the one nap. olive dropped at 17 months at daycare but could have definitely gone on longer with 2 naps.

Ooh, I just started a thread about this. DS is 12 months and I think he may be dropping his nap. I'm surprised how many ppl said 12 months!

We started daycare at 13 months and for a couple months our provider kept her on two naps. By about 15-16 months she had trained her for one so it coincided with the big kids in the group. She's in a home daycare. One nap has been wonderful for us!!

Some weekends she still takes 2 but it is more rare these days usually if we are out and about in car -
We are 19 months and although almost exclusively on one nap, there are still days where for whatever reason I can tell he needs a morning nap. Usually he'll still take a 2nd nap if I space it out enough.
He has always had high sleep needs. -
Around 12 months we started. I think by 13 it was all the time. He was a terrible napper. One nap only helped quite a bit.

First one 14 months
Second one have been transitioning since 16m and he's almost 17m and still sometimes occasionally falls asleep in car in morning and needs 2.

DD1 dropped around 15 months, DD2 is 13 months and has very high sleep needs, I'm guessing we have another few months at least for 2 naps.

My daughter is 18 months and it's been a weird transition for her. She keeps reverting back to two naps and even when (I thought) I had her down to one she wasn't sleeping as much. With two naps she sleeps about three hours, sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less, spread over two naps. With one nap she would only sleep ninety minutes.
We're night weaning now and I'm hoping that helps.
