Between 6 and 7 months - we went back and forth a bit - it all depended on when he woke up in the morning.

between 6-7 months... he naturally fell into the 2-3-4 routine

We're at 8.5 mo and still on 3! For a few days there I thought she might be starting to get ready to drop to two but then the last two days she has very clearly needed 3.

We are at 8 months and still at 3. She will only sleep 13-13.5 hrs a day max and tops out on awake time at 3-4 hours with her morning wake time topping out at 2 hrs still. I don't think she'll drop to 2 until she can manage 2.5-3 in the morning.

@blackbird: @ScarletBegonia: @Mrs. High Heels: okay, that's how old M is and I was struggling to remember when C dropped to two even though it was only a year ago. She only took 2 today -- I need to work on getting her back on a good routine now that it appears she'd do best with just 2! The last couple days have been very scattered and hard for her but I think it's because I haven't been letting her make that transition and have been trying to have her go down when she's not quite tired.

Around 6 months. It became a fight to get that 3rd catnap in and I was tired of fighting it, I preferred a tired/cranky baby in the evening instead!!

5 months. It was on the early side and we had to deal with a cranky baby and early bedtimes until she was about 7-8 months. But her naps were super long at that age (two 2.5 hour naps) so squeezing a third nap in meant fighting bedtime.

From 5 months she was going back and forth between 2 and 3 naps, depending on how long she napped for. It was hard to plan things, so at 6 months we put her on a 2 nap, 3-3-3 (roughly) schedule.

Just before 6 months. I much preferred the 2 nap days - I could barely fit in anything around 3 naps!

Not till around 11-12 months I think? She would have two crap naps at daycare and then another short nap at home from 4-5 pm, then bedtime at 8.

@coopsmama: yeah that third nap was a mess and we ended up sleep training so she was STTN with two naps versus not going down well after a third and getting all messed up. She had days she wanted that third nap but the nighttime sleep made it ok! She did start going down super early, like 645 or even 630

Consistently at 9 months. Before that she would take cat naps on the way or home from day care.

He's 9 months and sometimes does 2 sometimes 3 but he's never been a great napper. He thinks naps are for the birds

LO2 dropped to two naps around 6-7 months. He sleeps 6:30-6:30, so two naps have worked out best.

A is 8 months (6 corrected) and just starting to go down to 2 naps, tho I try really hard to get her a small catnap in. She's just recently been fighting going down to sleep for the night and I'm wondering if we should begin letting her cry it out

K is 50% there at 5 months. If she has a really early morning she needs 3, but otherwise just 2.
She's a great napper though, and will give me one 3-hour nap, and one 2-hour nap

LO is 4 mo and sometimes she misses the third nap! Mostly though because if she naps anytime after 5pm she thinks it's bedtime and then her night sleep gets messed up so she has a narrow window for third nap success. Definitely not 2 naps by rule though.
