T was so young at 9 months! He was on the walker a month before that. I'm wondering if our new baby will be early late or average in physical milestones.

@Mrs. Blue: I just figured that I probably won't have two kids that are so quick on the gross motor skills! 10 months is super early! She hit all those milestones quick eep

@blackbird: okay, I'm going to hope for the same. I need one of three to be less mobile for a while.

@Bao: I agree! So little A isn't even crawling yet at 10.5 months, she's going to be a late walker. E walked around 13-14 months

11 months for DD1 (first steps at 10.5), and 13.5 months for DD2.
It's funny, because DD1 walked early and crawled at 5 months, but was a bit of late talker. DD2, on the other hand, is a really, really early talker, but didn't start walking until Thursday (13.5 months). Each baby is so different!

DD1 took first steps in her 10th month, DD2 in her 9th, both more steady walkers at 11 months.

@Mrs. Blue: I assumed DS2 would do everything faster to keep up with brother but that hasn't been the case. He's actually been slower at every single milestone.
DS1 - started walking 3 days after his 1st birthday.

LO could stand unassisted around 11 months, took her first steps around 12 months and I called her a walker at 12.5 months, when she stopped crawling altogether.

Right around turning 11 months old, by 11.5 months she was only walking.

DD1 was around 13.5-14 months. DD2 is 8 months and pulling up on everything right now so we'll see! I'm so not ready for a mobile child who is too young to reason with!

LO took steps at 9 months and really walked at 10.5. i know what you mean, she's TINY and was even tinier then - everyone commented she was way too tiny to be running around like she was!

Right now his doc said we're looking at about 16 months before he walks.

#1 was a little late at 13 months. We had hardwoods and she was scared to fall on them.
#2 walked at 10.5-11 months. I liked having a later walker better.

DS started taking steps at 11 months and walking just shy of 12 months. He'd been cruising since 8 months.

My son was walking at 9 months. It was earlier than we were expecting and it was hard to keep him out of every little thing. DD is 6 months now and has been early on every physical milestone so far so it will be interesting to see if she will follow in his steps (no pun intended...).

DS just started this week! One week shy of 11 months. He will take 8-10 steps at a time but still prefers to crawl because it's faster.

@oliviaoblivia: same for J - he started walking around holding onto things around 8/9 months and was walking unassisted shortly after that.
If we had a second, I think I'd want them to take their time, too!

First steps a few days after his first birthday, and id only just now call him a walker at 13.5 months - although he will still crawl occasionally if he's tired.

DD took first steps at around 10.5 mos and was walking well right at 12 months.

14 months when she just took off. First steps were around 11 months old, but she was hesitant to do it on her own for a long period of time.

we took our first unassisted steps a few days before Halloween (I am a terrible record keeper, but I can remember it being right about then) so just shy of one, but she didn't really start walking over crawling until about 2 weeks later, which was about her 1st Birthday. She walks exclusively now with the occasional switch to crawling if the surface is slippery to her or uneven (she'll be 15 months on 2/13)
