LO1 likes peanut butter but has rejected a PB & J when we offered it to him. How old was your little one when he/Ashe started to eat peanut butter & jelly sandwiches? Are they particular about bread or flavor of jelly?
It would be so nice if he liked to eat simple sandwiches like this.

My son just ate his first one this past week! He is 20 months. It was Smucker's natural strawberry jam with honey roasted Skippy on soft oatnut bread, no crusts, cut in half (so like 2x3" pieces).

My son loves them! He's 20 months (today!) and I'd say his first PBJ sandwich was around 18 months. But he's had plenty of PB toast/sandwiches before that. I actually prefer for him to have just PB. The jelly (usually grape) is a treat!
ETA: we just do soft wheat bread. Nothing fancy! He's fine with crusts for now
but at the zoo on Saturday they sold those uncrustables packaged things and not only did he love it, but it was so neat and convenient. So I am thinking of getting a sandwich cutter/sealer so we can make our own.

DD started eating them around a year and a half or so. I would give her an open-faced PB only sandwich cut into strips or little squares. She still doesn't really like jelly. She currently likes whole grain white or oatmeal bread (brown bread is apparently "dusty"), crusts removed, crunchy peanut butter. I will also serve her a spoon full of peanut butter with crackers on the side if she doesn't feel like a sandwich.

He's been eating peanut butter sandwiches since a year and a half or so, and PBJ just since he was about 3.

My 13 month old loves them! I either use whole wheat or multi grain and she seems to like both. We use teddys all natural or natures promise organic peanut butter. For jelly we use welchs or natures promise.

My son just asked for his first PB sandwich today, he's almost 3! We never make sandwiches. He doesn't like jam so I think he'll stick with plain PB!

Probably a little before a year. I remember him eating one right after he got his first haircut right after his birthday. But he had trouble gaining weight and was a picky eater so it was something recommended by his ped. My younger guy was probably stealing bites even earlier. One doesn't like crunchy pb but otherwise they will eat it anyway.

Right around 14 months and just jiff and whatever jelly we have with white or rye bread.

Recently he started really liking them!
I use peanut butter, raspberry jam and whole wheat bread.

He has only ever eaten one last summer (18 ish months ). Now at 26 months he generally doesn't like pb although he will eat it if I am. We usually just give him jelly sandwiches and get the protein in a different way.

She doesn't get them often but she's been eating PB (or almond butter) sandwiches since maybe age 2. I don't think she's ever tried jelly.

She had her first just before she turned a year old. Now, at 16 months, she probably has one a week. They're so convenient!

my daughter has been eating pb since 7 or 8 months and I've been packing pb and j or honey sandwiches occasionally for lunches around 15 months? she is a big fan.

J started at like 18 mos? He was meh about them, but now at 2 he lovessss them. I found getting "light" whole wheat bread, meaning thinner slices encourage him to eat the whole thing and not just eat the insides of the sandwich and leave the bread haha.

She's been eating them for a long time, at least since 18 months, usually only open-face--she basically just licks the pb/j off, haha. she likes it on rice cakes better

My son wouldn't eat them until 2.5 and we had to "food chain" to get him there.
We started with peanut butter on a cracker.
Then peanut butter and jelly on a cracker.
Then pbj sandwiched between two crackers.
Then pbj between really toasted/crispy bread.
Then we reduced the amount of toasting until it was just a regular pbj.Eating has been a very complicated journey for him.

Maybe around 22 months? I can't remember.
Of course then when Logan was 7 months (and Xander was 28 months), we discovered he was allergic to peanuts, so we haven't had peanut butter sandwiches since.
