@chopsuey119: My LO also gets my glasses and pulls my hair. But I've started wearing headbands and my hair is in a ponytail, which helps a lot so she can't get to my hair.

Luckily she's too young for tantrums.

hmmm maybe around 17-18 months? charlie was a pretty good boy until then. he did throw mini tantrums, but it was really easy to distract him.

@chopsuey119: That's what the headband is for! I wear the kind that goes all the way around your head and keeps all your little lose hairs in and away from tiny fingers.

I think around 6 months. She only does it when she's really tired. If I miss tired cues and take something away or even give her cheek a kiss in a way that startles her she'll do the whole back arching, crying super drama over nothing ordeal. Luckily it doesn't happen often and she's tired so she goes right to sleep after but 6 months was the first time I thought 'isn't it too early for temper tantrums'

Glad to see we aren't the only ones with a 9 month-old at this stage.

Any suggestions or wisdom to avoid this back arching? It drives me insane!

I will usually set him on the floor and walk away for a few seconds until he has stopped. I've also tried distractions, but I don't want to inadvertently reward the back arching and tantrum behavior.
