My baby girl is 5 months and as I was looking at all the big sales this weekend I was looking mainly at the next stages of 6-9/6-12 month options. Were your LO's still wearing onesies when they were a year old? When did you transition to tops as opposed to onesies?

We are moving up to 6-12 (LO is almost 5mo) and I only buy onesies. I hate that tops ride up when I go to pick him up. I feel he looks disheveled in them. I think it's just a preference/convenience thing.
ETA- he has them (separates) and wears them occasionally but I much prefer onesies right now

@Reese: I agree for the time being! I definitely prefer them at the moment. I just am not sure when that phase generally ends!

My LO just turned 2 and she can still fit in Petit Bateau and H&M onesies. But she's in their last size. My son was done with onesies at 16 months. DD is a lot smaller than DS at the same age.

@Reese: THIS. DS is 9 months and I still put him in onesies since he's not walking yet. I plan to atleast until he's walking. So annoying to pick him up and have his shirt ride up.

He wore a few onesies at 12 months, but mainly he wore separates. He was also a summer baby and was walking so it made sense for us.

DD is 12 mo and still wears onesies. Ever since it got cold we like to layer the tank top ones from carters underneath everything!

12 months. It was just easier without them since she was walking and it was summer.

I still put onsies on under his pj's on really cold nights so that if his shirt does ride up it isn't bare skin exposed since he isn't great about keeping his blanket on!

Xander still wore some onesies until he potty trained at 2.5. Around 18 months is probably when he stopped wearing onesies regularly though.

Both of my boys stopped at 12 months when they were pulling up/standing. But by then, they were in 18-24 months and growing out of those.

Around 12 months because he was starting to cruise around and not crawl as much.

DS is 2 and we still do onesies at night under PJs. We stopped using them as outfits last spring, they just started to look funny and I liked regular t-shirts better. So I guess that was around 18 months?

LO1 stopped around 12 months. LO2 still wears them at 2 but only occasionally. He is tiny and still fits 18m Carter's. We have some 24m on hand for the winter.

LO is 12 months and I still put him in onesies almost exclusively... personal preference but I hate seeing his diaper stick out of his pants when his shirt rides up.
Its cold enough now that I'll layer a onesie under his tshirts.
Good question though because I was wondering when to stop buying them also! I've got 18 mo. now and I think I'll quit buying after this size? -
My son around 18 months. DD stopped around 7-8 months but she still wears them occasionally.

For both of my kids I was over onesies at 3 months. I don't find them easier and I don't like

Oh man, we still have a few and DS is 2.5 in a few days!
They're so dang useful for layering, but I can see how they look a little juvenile now. We'll probably use the ones that still fit, but won't buy more.

Stopped around 12 months. I like them for layering but not for much past walking. Diaper changes are so much easier without them.

Bennett is 22 months and still wears a lot of onesies, especially now that it's getting cold. He mostly wore tshirts through the summer but I like knowing that his tummy won't be exposed when he's playing outside if his coat/sweater ride up.

I guess I'm in the minority but I hate onesies! Phased them out around 9 mo. They make diaper changes harder and don't fit as well around cloth diapers on my chunk. Plus she has cute diapers I like seeing

Lo sometimes still wears them at 20 months but around 6 months or so she started mostly wearing shirts/dresses with leggings

We don't use them a lot, but I do keep a supply on hand, especially in the cold months. She is 18 months old. I mostly layer them with other (cuter) clothes!

We stopped at 24 months when we potty trained. I loved them as a layering piece - like an undershirt

i stopped around 12 mo because she stopped lifting shirts up, and i thought shirts were cuter than onesies. Now at 18 mo we're back on onesies because she figured out how to take off her pants and diaper, so the only way to keep a diaper on her is to put a onesie under her clothes.

I started phasing them out once LO started walking and shirts stopped riding upfront crawling/sitting. Coincidentally that also coincided with summer. Now that it's winter we still use them occasionally for layering and I expect to continue with that until it gets to warm or I can't find a big enough size.

I didn't buy any after size 18m. She was definitely out of them by age 2.

Used them daily until around 18m as that coincided with winter here...but now we put him in cute bodysuits for bedtime only because he looks so snuggly! And I know soon he will be out of them so I'm stretching it out....

My 21 month old wears them occasionally still.

He hasn't worn them during the day since before he was 1, but he still wears one at night under his PJs at 23 months to keep him nice and warm! He fits 18-24 month clothes.
