10 days old..and it fell off too early (wasn't completely dry at all), and oozed and bled and stuff. I had to take her in to have it cauterized.

Day 6 or so? It's been bleeding a bit though and the ped said to come in to cauterize if that lasts a week...

At 9 days. Likely sped along by the fact that the pediatrician cauterized the stump with silver nitrate at our appointment.

3 or 4 weeks. Our pedi put something on it to help it fall off because it was bleeding a little too. Silver something...

Maybe a week or just over? It was before my husband went back to work and he was home for 12 days.

@aprk: Oh my gosh... the cord stump is the only thing about babies that really kind of creeps me out. To have it fall off and know it might still be somewhere in my house, just being all gross for me to stumble over in the dark one day or something would be seriously disturbing. haha

We are 3 w 2 d and she still has it. The doctor picked at it today and said it should hopefully come off soon but definitely still attached.

Around ten days. Then the scab just fell off yesterday at 2 1/2 weeks.

I actually just went to change her and it had fallen off!! So she made it 3 w 2 d.

I think DS was 12 days old. It was a little wet so we used some alcohol swabs to keep it clean and to help it dry up.
