My mom said that I was absolutely fully potty-trained by the time I was 2.5 years old...Maybe as early as 2 years, 3 months.
I think I plan to start thinking about potty-training at 1 year. Is that late? I don't know!

we started at 18 months then put it to the side when charlie wasn't interested anymore. but he is so ready right now... we just have to find the time to commit and do it! (he's almost 26 months old)

I' started EC. Lo goes pee and/or poo every time I sit her in the potty. Once she turns one and starts walking I'll be better about sitting her on it.

@chopsuey119: I know I should just look it up, but what exactly is EC all about?

My LO is 21 months and I haven't even started yet. I'll just make sure she is potty trained by 2.5 - 3 yo. I am in no rush really.

@Rubies: your Lo gives you cues that they wanna pee/poop. You sit em on the potty when you get the cues and they go! You should try it out .:) it was so much help when m was constipated and pooped the huge log. Can't imagine her being able to go like that in her diaper

@Rubies: m says "eung gah" now when she wants to go! I feel bad when she says it and i don't have a potty close by to sit her on

@chopsuey119: I think I experienced LO's first cue to poo - she was sitting and playing and all of a sudden she dropped her toys and started to "push". It was cute - her face was all serious.
What's the purpose of EC? I mean, is it pre-potty training?

I think I'll just wait until she seems ready. I heard it's harder if you try too early and your baby isn't ready.

We EC also. Started when DS was 2 months. At 10 months he only has a BM on the potty and pees/poops every time we sit him on it!
@Rubies: It's not necessarily potty training but rather an attempt to keep ones natural awareness of wetness and not wanting going potty on themselves (not to equate humans with animals, but think of how a puppy inherently will not defecate where it sleeps. They naturally do not want to go potty in their "home"), in the hopes that by keeping their awareness the transition to potty training can be eased.
