I'm too nervous about UTI so far and dd is almost 3 and has been potty trained just a couple months. We're thinking of putting her in preschool soon though.
Edited because somehow dd became f'd.. Lol

she's been wiping since we started potty training a million years ago. at 2.5, i trust her to wipe for pee, but i do follow ups for poop.

Since we started. I showed her to dab the front. It's not like she pees everywhere and a tiny piece of tissue doesn't get it. I do give her a wipe off with a wet wipe after pooping.

From the beginning but I know she didn't do a good job in the beginning because she's in daycare and often her parts will get red. She hasn't been red in a while so I'm assuming she's getting better at it? I definitely still help with poop. She's 3.

We let her do it pretty quickly after training for pees but helped with poops until just recently at 3 1/2. We ask her to let us double check her after poops at first but she did well. We have never had issues with UTIs though so that might have made me more cautious.

LO is not potty trained yet but she always wants to wipe herself, either with wipes when I change her diaper or with toilet paper when she uses her potty.
When I change her diaper, if there is poop I wipe her well first and then let her wipe. When she uses the potty, it is always only pee and she is basically just dabbing with toilet paper so I let her have at it.
