Usually during the day. It's just what works best...I guess I never thought about it costing more...hmm.

Over the weekend, during the day. Annoyingly, DD's crib is on the other side of the wall from our washer/dryer, so doing laundry while she is asleep is a no-go.

I'm on a "time of use" plan with my electric company, so I do laundry on the weekends when its off peak (all weekend long and holidays are off peak). Right now our on peak hours are 5-9 am and pm, and during the summer months on peak is 1-8 pm. So unless something really needs to be washed during the week, then everything gets done on the weekend. (same with the dishwasher...).

@babyjmama: In our province (same as @redsmarties:) we have something called 'time of use' billing for electricity. The peak times change based on the season. It's supposed to be a conservation effort, but I think it's been proved to be a load of crap - basically people use electricity when they want/need to use it.

On the weekends - that's the only time I have time. But I started 3 loads this morning because the housekeeper was coming and I didn't want her to feel obligated to do it for us.

We wash LO's diapers on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. I tend to start them as soon as I pick her up after work so they can be hanging in the evening and dry by the morning. On the other days, I'll try to start a load of clothes when I wake up and throw them in the dryer before I leave for work. Washing isn't the problem, its getting to put all of the clothes away... they usually sit until we're out of baskets and we decide to put them away

Whenever we run out of clothes and I have time to do a load of laundry. I usually wash diapers at night.

Usually weekends, but sometimes if we didn't accumulate enough, or suddenly have needs to do it, I would do it week nights too.

I refuse to do laundry everyday of the week as so many people I know do. I start laundry Friday night and it is usually finished on Saturday unless I get lazy and then it is finished on Sunday.

Usually during the week. I put a load in at night and set the timer to start a little before lunch time. We're usually home for lunch or soon after so the laundry is done when we get home and I just move it over to the dryer. The dryer is done by the time LO is down for her nap and I can fold while watching Real Housewives

Weekends or I'll toss a load in the washer on Tuesday, forget about it until Friday and then have to rewash it on Friday night. Because my laundry room stinks.

Saturday morning.

I have no idea about it costing different amounts at different times. I just do it whenever I can, day, evening, weekends. I'm doing laundry now actually and I just got home from work.

We have the same deal here with evenings/weekends costing less. I usually do some random evenings in the week and Sunday. No set schedule at all! Then random day time loads like today because the dog threw up on his blanket!
