@mrscobee: I totally agree with you! I've seen family members just sort of waste away in retirement because they no longer had much to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. I don't want that for myself, and I think working might be the only thing to keep me from getting to that point! I'll likely "work" quite late into life, hopefully doing something that I really enjoy. That, or I'll go back and get another degree or two as a very, very mature student... lol.

I already retired. I mean if we are counting quitting working with no plans to ever go back, retiring? I quit in September and will never go back unless something were to happen to my husband.

Maybe 65ish? I've been aggressively saving for retirement but if I'm enjoying where I am in my career, I'd probably continue to work as long as my health permitted. Likely on a part-time basis though

I don't think either of us will want to retire till we are somewhere in our 60's.

My mom retired at 57, got super bored and moved to another state and worked another 10 years as a teacher and now draws retirement from 2 states. She finally retired this year at 68 because she has two siblings with cancer and bad prognoses, so she has been staying with them to help a lot.

She was worried about retiring tho--worried she would be bored. Her parents both lived to 93, so she feels she'll have a long retirement. And she's just super energetic.

Not sure if I'll feel the same way, but I keep that in the back of my mind.
