It doesn't seem possible that I could lose more hair while still having some still on my head. It is insane. I'm almost 4 months pp. The end is near right?

The worst of it only lasted about a month for me, but I was steady losing hair from 3-6/7 months pp.

ughhhh not soon enough! For me, the worst was over at 6 months. The regrowth...thats the real tough part. Baby hairs everywhere!

@WALLAROO: 4-5 months was definitely the worst! And the regrowth is crazy. Luckily, my hair grows quickly, but it still sticks up everywhere all over my head.

5.5 months pp and its still bad. I find hair everywhere. Hope it ends soon

I had bold spots
It actually turned out that I had a thyroid condition so it didn't really stop for me until my thyroid levels got regulated. Things really improved at that point. If you feel the hair loss is excessive maybe ask your doctor about checking your thyroid. Post partum thyroiditis is fairly common (mine turned out to be autoimmune though so I have the condition for life).

Mine was coming out in clumps at 4 months pp. at 6 1/2 months pp, it has dramatically slowed down. I think I noticed I wasn't shedding about 2-3 weeks ago.

Still losing at 10 months PP. I do have hypothyroidism... maybe it's time to get my levels checked again!

@WALLAROO: my hair loss has also really picked up the last few weeks (i'm 4 months postpartum as well)! it was so nice during pregnancy when i felt like i hardly lost a strand of hair. now i have to clean up my hair from the bathroom floor multiple times each day.

i'm 6.5 months pp and still shedding quite a bit. i started shedding at 3 months and people have told me it starts slowing around 6-7, so i'm hoping in the next couple weeks i'll see a decrease. its so stressful not to mention annoying to find your hairs all over the place.
