In upstate NY, I feel like spring starts in early to mid May. We do have snow storms in May sometimes, but generally that's when I can put winter behind me.

Ugh never.
No, sometime in late March, I think. There have been St. Patrick's Days where it's 70, and St. Pat's days with 2 feet of snow. But by the end of March we are usually in the clear.

@Beyond2: upstate too. I feel like spring doesn't start till Memorial day weekend because that's the rule of thumb of putting plants in the ground.

@Foodnerd81: ha, I was just going to say that this year I'm thinking it will never come!

I'm in Ontario, so quite similar to upstate NY. We tend to have some short bursts of spring in March and April, but it doesn't really start until May. Last year it snowed on the day dd was born - April 24!

First peeks of spring happen in. March in Virginia! That's why it is my favorite month! By May it's practically summer!

We've had spring like weather this week in the Carolinas, complete with thunder storms. But March is fickle here so by the end it'll be warm and then April is HOT.

Sigh, spring is coming one day? Really? There is no sign of winter letting up here. But I'd say we get spring in May too. DH was in BC this week and they have spring already. Raining and buds on the trees. I'm jealous.

@cmomma17: ahh I miss VA!
June. March is still winter and the next three months tend to be snowy, rainy, and cold. It snowed on Memorial Day the first three years I lived here.
It's the hardest thing for me about living here. Spring kind of sucks and summer is so short. I feel like it is torture waiting for it. DH gets annoyed she. I say we have 9 months of winter, but when it snows Oct-May that's pretty close!

Similar to upstate! last year we had snow until the last week of May, and it was constantly snowing that month. That was a bit abnormal. Usually, May is really nice. The year I got married, it was 90 degrees on my wedding day, which was May 29.
I don't foresee the snow being gone until at least May.

We've had spring like weather here in Oklahoma recently. It's usually here to stay in mid march.

We can have snow in mid-late March and occasionally the beginning of April but spring is usually here by mid April at the latest. I think last year we had a week of 80+ degree weather in March.
I really hope spring decides to show up earlier this year...I am so tired of the winter weather we have had.

About 3 weeks ago. The trees finally lose their leaves, then a week or two later we have buds on the trees again.

I live in SE Texas so there are plenty of days in the 70s already, though it can fluctuate a bit. This weekend it's supposed to be close to 80 but later in the week it's forecasted to dip to the high 30s. Confusing!
