My house is the cleanest on weeknights after LO is in bed. Everything is straightened up and put away and I do deep cleaning things throughout the week so it feels soooo nice. It's the dirtiest on Monday mornings! We're usually really busy on the weekends and I don't have time/motivation to do my normal cleanups so Monday is always catch up day!

ETA: It's usually cleanest on the weekends, because DH and I can tag-team entertaining LO. I am really bad about doing a good cleaning during the week--by the time he goes to bed the only thing I have the energy for is picking up his toys and sometimes doing the dishes.

Everyday during his morning nap. I clean the minute he goes down for that nap.
It is worst right before bed, when we do bath time, dinner dishes and all that all at once! -
Haha, glad I'm not the only one. Definitely before people come over. Otherwise, it is after all our major work deadlines have past.

Seriously, my IL's are awesome (like my MIL washed pump parts for me and learned to load my dishwasher) but I still feel weird if the house is messy when they come over. Even when LO was a newborn I'd try to clean up before they came over.

When I am either angry or we have company coming over. I don't know why but I have always been an angry cleaner. Mr. Hedgie said he came home one day to the house being super clean and the vacuum still going so he turned around and left because he was afraid of what he had just walked into. lol. I can't blame him. Although at least something good comes out of my anger!

When I know we're having company!
Our downstairs stays pretty clean because that's where we spend the majority of our time during the day. I really have a hard time keeping up with the upstairs though.

My house is spotless when my MIL comes over!! Other than that, its most likely to be clean on a Sunday afternoon as I tend to do a big clean on a Sunday.

Also when company is coming. I do regular chores around the house through the week but I only do it all at once when we are expecting people...

Every 2nd Friday after the cleaning lady comes and in the summers (I'm a teacher) when I'm home and can maintain it.

We make a big push to have a pretty clean house by the weekend. That way, we have a fighting chance of keeping the house clean each day...
The big thing we try to do is pickup the floor and then vacuum and mop it. That way, the wood floors aren't too messy for the kids!

Gah, my house is a disaster zone. We're caving and getting a cleaning lady at least once a month but I still have to work out a schedule.

Our house is cleanest on the weekends, because that's when we're both home and get the most work around the house done.

When guests come over....only trumped by, when out-of-town guests come to stay overnight. That's the only time I REALLY get down-and-dirty with the house cleaning, dusting the baseboards, vacuuming AND washing all the hard floors, scrubbing the shower tiles, etc.

@Running Elley: @Cherrybee: @Mrs Hedgehog: Angry cleaners unite! I find that when there's something in my life I can't control, it's really theraputic to control something. I used to stress bake too but anger and stress cleaning are the only things I have time for. Much easier to stop cleaning because of a needy toddler than stop cookies baking!

Downstairs stays pretty picked up, SO keeps it tidy throughout the day while I'm at work.. Upstairs is hard for me to keep up with..bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry room. If company is coming over I make sure downstairs is clean clean and upstairs is at least picked up.

Another angry cleaner here! There's something so satisfying about vacuuming with force lol
Our house gets really clean sporadically because DH and I are both known to get into a crazy clean-the-whole-house-immediately streak.
