Do you sort them by where the invites are headed to? Is it pointless to sort the invites? I usually do but I'm wondering if I've wasted my time all these years!
I wasn't sure which board to put this under...but I'm mailing baptism invites so I put it under parties!

When I did my wedding invites, I did take them to the post office though and hand stamp them though so they didn't run through the machine and get all scratched up.

I don't. I've heard of it though and I know sometimes they have a separate mail box for mail staying in the neighborhood or zip code at the post office. But no, I just drop them in.

Sort them for what purpose? i dont think you are dojng the post office any favors. I sort by name to make sure I didn't leave any one off.

Haha, I've never done that and my dad is a letter carrier - surely he would have brought it up if they expected it/wanted it

I have never even thought to do that! I just assume they get thrown in and mixed up with all the other outgoing mail from the day.

I have never heard of this-- I plop them into the mail slot at the PO or I have the mail carrier pick them up, unsorted and all.
