Ours was last night for our anniversary! It was so nice and surreal (LOL) to be out at a nice restaurant. Eat dinner without rushing. 
Our last one before that was over the winter. 
Dinner and a hockey game with friends.
Not sure when our next one will be now with #2 coming.

Wednesday, we went to Costco and then had drinks and snacks at the 99. Haha. SO suburban parent chic.
Next week we have a 2 night getaway to a nearby city! SO EXCITED.

a couple of weekends ago we had two date nights in a row! DH managed to schedule both on the same wknd! We had dinner/drinks with his bff and his wife one night and then we went dinner/comedy club with another couple the next night!
He's taking me out to dinner on Monday for my birthday!

Hm. I'm not sure what counts! Last time we did dinner and a movie I thinks was May 3, the weekend before my due date. The next weekend we got food and came home and played video games because I was too uncomfortable to sit in a movie theater again.
But we did go out on fathers day just for a movie. It was a quick early afternoon outing because I was nervous about leaving LO for longer, but we did go out alone! Kinda crazy to me that was almost 2 months ago! lol.
I have no idea when we'll get another. Hopefully for my birthday in October for a real date-- if not sooner.

@MarieJ: truth be told it took DH and I a little bit to remember our last date night when we were out to dinner last night. 
Do you have family nearby? It's so much harder when there aren't family nearby or close enough that they come for frequent visits. My ILs are nearby but MIL is sick so really it's like just FIL. So we hate to ask.
We try to take half days off work for special occasions when we had no family near by. That way LO was in daycare and we could do a "day date"!

We went to dinner about a month before the baby was born... So sometime in April? Not sure if that really counts because C was with us.
We had a "day date" two weeks ago. Grandma came to watch H while C was napping. We went to a local food hall and I ended up getting day drunk! Lol. I'm sure my IG friends are annoyed with my posts those few hours.

Last night too, anniversary twin! glad you had such a nice celebration! Ours was really nice, though I was sad about leaving lo-- it's the longest I've been away from her so far (I need to start working on separation for when the semester starts...) she slept the whole time though!

Yes! Shockingly LO fell asleep SUPER early for my ILs!!! 6:45! Her usual bedtime is 730-800! They must've tired her out at the park then dinner out. Also she only had a 45 minute nap yesterday which we thought didn't bode well for bedtime but it worked out! And she still slept in till 6:20am this morning. We think she's working through a bug.

Day dates sound amazing, but unfortunately, he's a school teacher & I am saving all of my days off for my maternity leave in November. Excuses, right? LOL

Two weeks ago DH and I went to a concert with his parents. I guess that counts as date night lol. Before that, it was probably for our first anniversary - we went to a quick (but nice) dinner when DD was 1 month old!

Would it count if LO fell asleep during dinner? Because it sure felt like a date night to us! That was back in Feb - our last night on Lanzarote. It was blissful ... and the only time it has ever happened!

Sort of the other night when we were in San Francisco. But we met a single friend of ours out. My parents watched DS at the hotel. It was great because it was a restaurant we could've never brought him. It was a sushi place that was so trendy it even had a DJ!

Uhhh last November. We went to a concert. I had my mum babysit about a month ago for a couple of hours during the day but that was to clean our last house the day after we moved. Definitely need to have another date night soon.

Do date days count? If so, both DH and I took PTO yesterday and watched a matinee showing of Guardians of the Galaxy, had lunch together, then took an afternoon nap before picking up the kids from daycare.

Tuesday Our next one is tomorrow morning (date brunch, rather than date night). We have had date night every week for 5 years now! I think we've missed maybe 2 weeks ever, and made them up within another week. It's an incredibly important part of our relationship because my DH is a doctor and doesn't have much time. I moved across state for him 5 years ago to a place where I knew almost no one, so we agreed upon date nights every week.
Granted, we don't have kids yet (I'm 6w5d pregnant right now!). I imagine after the newborn stage we will have date night every week or every other week, as my in-laws live 7 minutes from us and this will be the first grand baby. I know this sounds naively optimistic, but we take our date nights very seriously! 99% of the time, date night is eating at a restaurant (or, sometimes, take out and a rented movie).

@locavore_mama: it was our first date night since lo! And the longest I've been away from her, I almost cried when we left haha. She fell asleep nursing right before we left but then broke her sttn streak after we came home-- she was up 3 hrs motn glad we had a nice date first though first if this is the start of the 4 month sleep regression!

Not since before DD was born. We have been to a wedding together without DD (but let's be honest, weddings are a massive chore), a ruby wedding anniversary party (chore) and we went out to watch a football game in the pub once (I hate football and it's not like you actually speak to each other when he's staring a screen is it?) but actual go-out-together-have-a-nice-time = not once. My inlaws are our only source of childcare and they have DD three days a week while we work so we can only really ask them at the weekend in exceptional circumstances (like a wedding - yawn). The football evening was a birthday present from them - one evening of childcare. I really miss spending fun time with my husband.

I can't remember of we went in July but I know for sure we went out for DH birthday in June. We have a two night trip without LO coming up next weekend to celebrate our anniversary though! I'm going to try to schedule more frequent dates up until the new baby comes in October as well.

We were able to grab a quick dinner at Carrabba's before going to pick up DH's car a few weeks ago without R. Next one will be for a Zac Brown Band concert at the end of the month.
