DH and I haven't been out on a date since our anniversary back in June! I haven't really had the desire to bc I Like to dedicate my entire time off work to LO since I do work full time, and I would feel guilty leaving him on the weekends. However my birthday is coming up and the only thing I really want is to go out to eat and not tend to a baby the entire time!

When LO was three weeks my mom was staying with us and we went out to dinner. Nothing since then (although we have gone to two weddings, I don't count that). But my mom is coming back to visit this weekend, so maybe we can again!

I can't remember. Although we did see The Avengers in the theaters during a daytime date this summer... do day dates count?

Well, if going to the market to grab two jugs of raw milk just the two of us counts as a date, then that was just yesterday! My MIL is in town! But, I guess our first and last *real* date was on my birthday 2.5 months ago.....baby is now 3 months old!

We go out to dinner every Friday! But we also don't have any kids yet, so it's easier for us to get out than for some of you

I think there are two types of couples, when it comes to date nights: 1) couples with family nearby and 2) couples without family nearby. If you're in the latter category, date nights are a lot harder... unless you have the money to hire a babysitter!

@mrbee: agreed!! when we did go out, it was my mom babysitting. We're hanging out with friends next week and my sister is babysitting. We would have to budget specifically for a sitter and save in advance. They're not cheap

We have a date night every 3-4 months maybe? We usually have family in town at those intervals so we go out then. I hate spending money on a babysitter!

@mrbee: that's totally right and I'm very lucky that we fall into the category with family close by. We are able to do date night at least once a month.
We have been out to a nice dinner 1-2 times a month since February...I know I am very fortunate to have family close by...usually my brother comes over and watches tv/movies bc LO just sleeps the entire time.
