LO didn't nap well at my parents this afternoon so I ended up driving an extra half an hour in addition to our half hour trip home so that she could have a decent nap. *sigh*

I do this a lot when she finally falls asleep in the car, we have a nice nature park close, so that gets a lot of action!

I used to do this all the time! A few months back tho, DH winged it and transferred DS from a car nap to his crib and he went right back to sleep! So thankfully even if he falls asleep in the car, we RARELY have to stay in there waiting, unless he falls asleep in between different places/outings.

I haven't driven further- but I think it since DS is in his infant seat still- I will stop and go to target or somewhere is he is passed out in his seat! He does some good sleeping in that carseat!

I haven't driven farther but I've parked in the driveway and played on my phone.

@cheert16: @rahlyrah: usually she wakes up as soon as we pull into our drive. She must have been so tired today as she slept through moving the car seat into the house.

We do this ALL the TIME. Last time was Sunday. I don't know how the nanny gets him to nap since I can't seem to get him to without a little car action.

We have waited in the car. The most recent time went to a Christmas event that was 1 hour away. We went early so we didn't have to cut his nap short and sat in the car for an extra 45 minutes once we got there so he could get his full nap in. Naps are so important to EVERYONE's happiness!

@Amelieisme: definitely! I'm forever either trying to get her to nap or hoping she'll wake up from one soon so that we can go somewhere!

Saturday. We were at a car show 30 mins away from our house. We left at naptime and DS immediately fell asleep in the car. I knew if I went home he would wake and not want to go back to sleep so I drove around until he woke up!

I did this on Christmas Eve. We drove an extra half hour because she really fought to start the nap. Then my mother ignores me for being late...and I wasn't late to anything but hanging out at their house for a few hours before church and festivities.

@illumina: only 15 mins extra. I was about to stop and sit in the grocery store parking lot but then he woke up. I would just sit in my driveway, but my dogs would hear my car and go nuts wondering why mom isn't coming inside haha

I would have today, but I *really* had to pee. Luckily, she transitions pretty well from the car to the house. So she's still sleeping!

Today. We were doing really well in the crib, but the last few days have sucked so I had to make sure she got some sleep somehow!
