Ha, violence is not the answer but I can dream...
I wanted to slap someone yesterday when they told me to just be a good parent and pay attention to my kids instead of installing a pool fence.

Earlier today when my neighbor was bitching about how none of her family loved her enough to buy her son new bedding.

After I announced our name choice for the first time on Saturday at my baby shower, SIL says "I thought you guys weren't going to use any weird spellings?" really loudly. I wanted to punch her in the face.
**for the record, SIL, it's a legit spelling and your opinion is invalid...it's not my fault that you are from a small town in TX and all of your friends are rednecks and you have zero knowledge of the rest of the world or any cultures different from your own**

@zippylef: Seriously? It's no one's responsibility to buy your kid bedding except your own!
@tororojo: Gotta love when you get unsolicited advice about your child's name.

@tororojo: uhhhhh. So annoying ! The only acceptable answer or response to someone sharing their baby name is "I love it !"

@autumnlove: lol... um... isn't installing a pool fence so your kid doesn't fall in the pool a pretty good indication that you DO, in fact, pay attention to your kids???

@zippylef: Luisa Noelle
...I'm thinking she thought it should be "Louisa." But I'm like #1 don't tell me this in front of a room full of people AT MY SHOWER, #2 again, we live in TX! I speak Spanish, as does a large percentage of people all around us, and we want her name pronounced w/a soft S as in a romance language, not a Z, which is how everyone reads "Louisa." Rawr. Everyone else I've told has loved it, or at least pretended to.

@.twist.: He was going on and on about how my yard will be ruined and he personally would never choose function over aesthetics for his yard. Good for him! I care more about my children's safety than backyard aesthetics right now!

@tororojo: oh, I wouldn't even have thought to put an O in there until you said that... I think it'd definitely more dainty the way you spell it. I really like it.
Also, I usually want to slap my step kids mother. We just found out that she has been doing ZERO homework with them. At all. Ever. The most they do homework is at our house on Tuesday & Wednesday and every other weekend when WE have them. They are both behind in school. UGH. I'm so frustrated with her all the time.

Umm... A couple nights ago in the middle of the night it was taking FOREVER to get the baby back to sleep after nursing. I FINALLY had her almost out and my husband started snoring wicked loudly and startled her awake. Slapping is tough when holding a baby so I kicked him instead : )

Haha, this morning! My coworker decided to work on one of my accounts without asking me or being asked this weekend and sent an email to my boss copying me about what he did. Then he attacked me this morning about the account and was all know-it-all-y. Ugh!

Friday. Via email. There is one person at work who thinks the way to get what he wants to is berate and be abusive. He's in for a nasty surprise.

@BlueWolverine: Email snarks are the worst! I especially love it when they use improper grammar.

3 hours ago and 5 min ago.
A coworker asked how W was adjusting to her new room at daycare. When I said that we held her back because she wasn't ready to drop a nap yet, she replied with how *easy* it was for her DD to drop her naps and that if I just moved her up that she would get over her sleep issues.
And then my MIL asked us to go to happy hour at 6, even though she knows DD's bedtime is 6:30 and we have a 45 min drive home. When I said I'd rather not, since I'm not feeling good and DD needs to get to bed, she gave a guilt trip about not getting to see her grandchild (even though she'll see her this weekend at her birthday party). She always makes me grumpy.

@BabyBoecksMom: Oh I HATE it when people say "Oh, that was just so easy for my kid..." come ON! Every kid is SO freaking different, J didn't roll over until he was 4 1/2 months and all I heard about was how x baby rolled over at 2 months and y baby rolled over at 3 months. Thanks.
@autumnlove: I'm sorry but HOW RUDE! Without QUESTION if we had a pool we'd have a fence around the pool. All you have to do is turn around for 5 minutes! I would be SO mad.
I pretty much feel like slapping someone on a daily basis, I work in HR so it's part of my daily life We're getting ready to start downsizing the company though and that's been a HOT mess. Pretty much every phone call makes me want to slap someone.

@autumnlove: whoa dude. Fences are the law, aren't they? What a jerk, I would have wanted to slap that person, too!
I often want to slap other drivers.
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
@mediagirl: I am not sure if it is the law but I would never have a pool without a gate! Especially with two kids and an elementary school nearby. Good parents don't need gates...lol!
I also want to slap other drivers!

@autumnlove: fences around pools are the law in most, if not all of FL. Let me at the person who said that and I'll get them to shut it!
@babyjmama: exactly! Grrrrrrr

About 5 minutes ago- a former co-worker who shared an e-mail I sent her out of context that is now a part of a frivolous law suit against the company I work for so I have to travel 250miles next week to testify for 2 minutes in court. My sister has to take the afternoon off work to help with LO while I do this. I would love to do more than punch her. LOVE that. Love.

Today, I can't stand when people don't follow rules! At my sons charter school you're suppose to drive around the gravel road to the front of the school to drop off your kids (he's in 5th grade, no need to walk him in anymore). There are signs directing you, it was announced at the beginning of the year and each monthly newsletter too! Well there are a few parents who feel that rules don't apply to them and they drive across the parking lot and cut in front of the line of cars waiting to drop off - grrr!!! Today there was one truck in front of me and this suv did it, if the truck wouldn't have been in front of me I would've rolled down my window and ask them what makes them so special that they don't have to wait in line??? Instead we all got done at the same time and we proceeded to follow said vehicle 7 miles back into town 10 miles UNDER the speed limit. I wanted to kick them in the head, not slap them. A 2 hour delay because of ice (at 5am, roads were clear during drop off) had already made me have to close the office to take him to school.
Wow talk about long winded, sorry about that!!

Oh and then there was the bus that pulled out in front of me while I was traveling at 50mph, luckily I have good brakes. That tacked on 10 minutes to my drive to the baby-sitters since we stopped every 20' to pick up kids. Then there were two kids who weren't standing at the end of their driveway and walked as slowly as possible. If I were that bus driver I would've yelled for them to run or left them. Sorry you weren't out here on time! I guess I'm not a very nice person today

I haven't wanted to slap anyone during my entire maternity leave. I dread going back to work on Feb 26 bc I'll want to slap people every day again.
