It's been years since DH got me flowers, mostly because I said they die too quickly and it doesn't bother me if he doesn't. He will get me other little surprises, like my favorite candy instead.

He gets me potted plants once in awhile but not cut flowers. Probably for my birthday was the last time.

A month or so ago when I was really sick and it was also the anniversary of our engagement/day we met. They weren't my favorite, but they were purple, which is my favorite color.

I'm going to say at least six years ago...and that is being generous. Not a big deal to me though.

In December for our dating anniversary. I get them a few times a year maybe?

Back in September when I gave birth, he went and bought some while I was in labor.

I always get them randomly, but I get lots of little things like candy, ice cream, or shoes. (that's weird, but true)

When we were first engaged and living together, he would get me flowers probably once or twice a month. But then we got a cat. A cat who enjoys sitting on the furniture and pushing things off, including beautiful glass vases. That pretty much put an end to the flowers.
He and our son did bring flowers home from the store right after Eloise was born a few weeks ago. It was nice, but we had to put them in such a weird spot to keep the cat from getting to them that I didn't really even see them much.

he made me a bouquet of paper flowers (he made the flowers all by himself!) on our first anniversary, paper anniversary, in october =) real flowers, i think last valentine's day he got me flowers from the florist who did our wedding.

Sometime a few months ago...he just brought me some after work randomly one day. I couldn't figure out where he bought them, and I assumed he bought them before he got on the train in Midtown, and I pictured him carrying them all the way home on the subway. I gushed and gushed over the sweetness.
Except then, the next week, I saw that a new vendor was set up outside our neighborhood station selling...you guessed it, flowers! So he bought them 2 blocks from our house.
But I still thought it was super sweet. Even if he didn't carry them on the subway during rush hour. ;0

April of last year. I think they were "just because." They were beautiful fire-tipped yellow roses!

A few weeks ago! Inexpensive roses from Trader Joe's that he picked up with a few groceries, but they really brightened my day when I walked in the front door

I few months ago... he brought me home flowers a week or so after I had the baby.

Last week. I was having a particularly rough day with intense morning sickness, hormones, exhaustion, and stress from work. He came home with them and totally caught me by surprise. I promptly vomited and then gave him the biggest hug ever. I didn't kiss him like I wanted to for obvious reasons. lol

A few months ago. Sometimes he just picks them up just because. Trader Joes has inexpensive flowers. I'm always touched

Maybe 2 or 3 months ago, just because. He sends me flowers at work pretty regularly.

Two days ago! We don't do flowers during valentines day anymore because of a horrible experience we had one year so I got them a week early.

Um. wow. It's been some time! The hubby has only gotten my flowers 3 times since we've been together the past 7 years! The first time he got me flowers was on our wedding day as part of my gift exchange with him. haha! I don't mind since they're costly and die too soon, but receiving them still puts a smile on my face!

The last time he got me flowers was on our annivesary almost a year ago. He tends to get me other surprises because our cat eats the flowers so they always end up in a bathroom (which until now, didn't have windows so they died quickly). Maybe I"ll remind him soon though that our bathrooms now have windows though.

When we were engaged he got me some "I'm sorry flowers" after being a jerk the night before.

Umm... Never? One of the things I love about him (frugality, practicality) is a teensy downside in a way because I will probably never get flowers from him. That's not to say he isn't sweet though! This month he gave up a lot of his spending money from our budget to give me a big enough clothing budget to buy some maternity clothes I feel good about myself in
He volunteered it on his own and insisted I use it on myself. I'll take it!

@mrs. bird: That is pretty impressive!
@mrbee: you are such a romantic!
Mr. Jacks knows to bring me chocolate if he's going to bring me something. He likes to bring home Scharfenberger, which is exceptionally good chocolate... so I don't mind the lack of flowers. Oh and he helps me plant beautiful gardens with peonies!

About 5 months ago . . . the week before I delivered BabyGloss . . . the flowers were addressed "to the most beautiful preggo ever" He's such a sweetheart!

Never...I kill plants. Sending me flowers, potted or otherwise, would only speed up the process for the poor things.
But, he's sweet to me in other ways.

Probably a couple years ago. Our kitties like to eat flowers. My favorite flowers are lilies, which just so happy to kill cats if they eat them

I can't remember? I've had them once in the new house..so sometime between September and now.
Other than that, my birthday.

A long time ago, but I'm known to kill them very quickly and have told him never to send anymore flowers to me. I have a very very black thumb.
