DH and I had our first overnight date night since ds2 last weekend! Went to a hockey game, stayed at the casino/hotel and spa treatments Sat am! It was planned for a while, but then I ended up getting SO sick last week. I was able to make it and while it was a good time; I definitely wasn't feeling 100%!
We're planning on a movie date this week, my cousin is going to come chill at our house (babies will be sleeping!) and babysit the kids!

It wasn't a date per se, but DS slept at my parents house for the first time on Sat night so DH and I stayed home and watched movies. As much as I enjoy going out for dates, it was nice to have the house to ourselves and just veg out!

Friday night we had our first overnight away since DD2 was born! It was nice. My parents gifted us a nice dinner/tickets to this comedy marriage seminar thing. The seminar was okay. I would have rather stayed home and gotten 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep versus the 6 we got because the seminar was so far away but I was still a nice time. Now that we've actually taken the time away, Im looking forward to doing it again!

Our last date was Saturday. We went to a contemporary ballet performance and then tried out a new restaurant for dinner. It was our Valentine's Day date. We try to go out at least twice a month on dates, but we haven't left our youngest overnight yet.

We went out for an early dinner(5 pm reservation, haha!) on Saturday, while the kids hung out with my in-laws. We were home in time to do bedtime, though.

We can't do date nights that interfere with bed time. Lol. We just don't have a trusted sitter or family member who could put him to bed since he's such a bad sleeper right now.
We do "date days" since DH is off on Fridays. We just take him to his babysitter's and spend the day together.
We went out to eat and did a little shopping this past Friday for Valentine's Day.

Last Friday. It was a weird night though. We just went to a hole in the wall restaurant, and we only stayed for half an hour since they closed at 8. We were in a weird funk and couldn't figure out what to do after and just drove around Philly for a while.

@twodoghouse: We go out for early dinners for almost all our dates! It's a lot easier for us to put the kids to bed than a babysitter or my MIL. Plus, if we go out after they are in bed, we are too tired to stay out longer than a couple hours

End of January we went out to dinner just us. This weekend we are going out with friends but my sitter will come early so we will sneak out and have a drink just us before we meet everyone for dinner.

Does my work holiday party count? If not, then it'd be our anniversary dinner. We just went to eat then picked up DS a few hours later though. During the whole dinner, I kept texting my friend to see how he was though. Sigh. lol

We had a whole weekend over Superbowl! LO stayed at Grandma's house. It was really nice to have some couple time. Plus I got to meet my cousins new baby!

My mom took DD overnight on Valentine's Day. We spent the afternoon checking out some thrift shops, and then came back to grill dinner, on our deck. Next morning, DH made a big breakfast, and we watched a movie, in bed; really nice and chill. Much needed, since we haven't really been alone since October.

We went to a Black Sabbath concert on Thursday night. It was our first night out without DD since she was born (she's 8 mos) we usually just take her with us if we go out to dinner or a drive in movie.....We had so much fun!
