I can usually figure out what she's saying but the last couple days she's been asking for "ping yee" and pink. She knows her colors so and it isn't the color, she points to random things in the pantry and fridge. I'm so confused!!

Lorelei was saying "adventure" this morning, and it took me a little while to get it. And she was looking at me like I was a world-class #1 idiot. Sorry, Lita. It sounds like you are trying really hard to figure it out! Oh, yeah, and I was going to say I usually apologize and say I'm having a hard time understanding, and try to help her find another way to show or tell me what she's thinking of. Sometimes it works, and sometimes I do just genuinely get stuck.

Happens a lot! When I have NO IDEA what he's saying, I ask him to "Show me! Where is it? Can you point to it?". One time he was saying something that sounded like "bandaid box". So I said "Oh do you want a bandaid from the bandaid box?" and he kept shaking his head saying "Bandaid box! Bandaid box!". I asked him to show me where it was. He walks over to his toy chest and says "There it is! Bandaid box!". He was pointing to his blocks. And then I finally figured out he was saying "building blocks". =\

This happens a lot and she gets so mad when I can figure out what she wants.

Driving home about 2 hours until we get there and he insists one "d-real". We ask him to show us and he makes circles with his finger. 45 minutes full of crying and frustration later I finally figure out he wants "cereal". That was the absolute worst.

All the time. my LO is only 16 months and half the time I dont know what she wants, I have to keep asking "do you want water?" "do you want a bagel" until I figure it out
