Nope, but a lot of people assumed I had a boy even when she was dressed in pink because we had a gray carseat!

I def think that as newborns if the baby isn't in a gender specific color then I have ZERO clue what gender he/she is

If its pink I assume girl

If its green/yellow - I ask

If its blue I assume boy

Yep, especially when she wears "boy shaped" tee shirts like shirts from destinations. I've had two "he" comments in the past week.

Yes! Her car seat is green and we have a blue elephant hanging from the bar. So when we are out with both in the double snap n go we get a lot of "two little boys!" Comments. Doesn't matter what she's wearing. At first I said "oh no, one of each" but now sometimes I don't even correct random people who come up to us at stores. Maybe when she grows more hair she'll look more like a girl??

Yes, but even I joke that she looks like a boy sometimes, so I don't care. She has very little hair, and what she has is light. All our gear is neutral. As long as they are saying he/she is cute I don't care.

I was told my little boy was so handsome while she was wearing fuchsia skinny jeans, a navy/white striped top and purple fleece jacket. People mean well, so I just thank them for the compliment and move on.

Yup! They also think she's a boy when they hear her name, even if she's dressed top to toe in pink!

Yes, actually even when she is wearing pink people think she's a boy sometimes! She doesn't have a lot of hair, maybe that's why?

Nope, my daughter is usually in blue/greens (it looks good with her eyes) and I just make sure they are girly outfits or have a ponytail in her hair (bow when she was younger)

So, I have a boy (just thought this thread was interesting), but we were at a neighbor's party in the beginning of the summer. It was before we buzzed LO's hair short, and he has super curly hair when it's longer. He had a yellow shirt on with a turtle, and a woman mistook him for a girl. When my DH corrected her, she was like, "Well, you shouldn't dress him in yellow if he's a boy!" and walked away

Seriously lady?? I get that people mistake him for a girl sometimes with his hair longer and all curly, but telling us that it's our fault for dressing him in yellow??

@Bubbles: @2PeasinaPod: My boy gets mistaken for a girl all the time and I can never figure out why! Over the weekend when he was wearing camo shorts and a robot tee...the person kept saying "she" and "your daughter"...I'm not offended but hahahaha.

Yes even if she has a bow or headband on unless it's pink or purple.

LO could be dressed head to toe in pink and purple, but people think she is a boy because she has practically no hair and she also won't tolerate anything being in what little hair she does have (bows, headbands, etc.) I just laugh!

No, she's got long enough hair to need a ponytail now! But i mean...babies all look so neutral. So meh.

Even when my daughter is wearing a shirt with glitter on it and pink Converse people call her a boy because she has short hair.

My LO has lots of dark long hair, will have a bow in and wearing pink and people still say "he's so cute". It's silly!!
