The first day of school was huge for me, and was a moment I thought about a lot when my kids were young! It's something I remembered from my own childhood, and it just seemed impossible that my little guy would ever be in school himself. But then in a flash he was in pre-K and then in Kindergarten!! I still can't believe it...
I also loved taking the kids to their first baseball game. I'm not even that into baseball! It's just such an iconic part of American life and let's be honest, I am never going to throw a baseball with my kids. So going to a baseball game together was a big deal.
Other than that, big future moments for me will be when my kids get really into reading (just happened for my son!) and when they get super into a topic and become obsessed with it (hasn't happened yet). I guess all my future moments are nerd moments.
When you think about your kids' futures, are there specific moments that you are looking forward to?
