I haven't experienced it yet, but while my sister's best friend was in labor she had a lady in the room next to her screaming bloody murder!! She was so freaked out that she kept texting my sister to come pick her up and get her out of there! lol

triage was busy, but no one else was laboring - they were there for NST or miscarriage. the actual L&D ward was SILENT!

No, but I heard a baby cry as he/she was delivered in a nearby room (about 2 hours before I had my daughter) and I cried thinking how special the moment was for the parents!

I don't remember hearing them when I was in my room, but I certainly heard them in the waiting room and when i was in triage (I waited for hours and hours for a room). One woman in particular was crazy loud in the waiting room!

nope! there was one other woman there and I didn't hear a peep from her. but I was also in a tiny hospital that only has 2 birthing rooms. my midwife said the fact that they were both occupied while I was there was unusual!

Nope, I was pretty much the only one on the wing for a long time. I felt bad for anyone else around while I was pushing though. I am pretty anyone there heard me!

nope both times....
i myself was a silent labourer.... (haha?) i couldn't bear the thought of talking or making any noise at all. i felt like if i said a word, i'd explode into a million pieces and completely lose control (and not in a loud way, but in a scary pain kinda way!) anyway.... i went on to get an epi both times and they were GREAT! LOL

Nope, never heard or even saw another laboring woman in triage or L&D. But our nurse was super flustered because there were so many laboring mothers. Crazy to me... it's a 10 year old hospital so I'm sure the layout was planned for privacy.

As I was being wheeled down to the OR for the C-section, there was a woman just screaming her head off. Poor lady was still screaming when I went to the recovery room. Or maybe it was a different woman. I hope so.
